Our Bedtime Routine
It's really fun getting to put Jeff to bed at night, especially since he really loves reading and wants Nick & I both to put him to bed at night. Some nights, he wants us all to snuggle in with him, while I read his bedtime story. This week I decided to take advantage of this and get some cute pictures. It worked to my advantage because he ended up wanting to read to Nick, so I was happy that I got that on video too. I love these moments with him, it's amazing he's old enough to want to read to us!

Final Vacation Post
Friday in Chicago was a blast! We walked and walked forever, then headed towards Navy Pier to spend a couple of hours enjoying the water. It was great walking down by the water and enjoying the cute stores. The amount of schools there was crazy...you can tell it's the end of the school year and kids are going on lots of fields trips. We had lunch at Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company and it was awesome. Neither of us had ever been there before so it was fun to get to experience that together. On the way to get the car, we ordered an Orginial Gino's Pizza, drove around for a hour or so waiting on the pizza, then we headed to the lake. Jeff passed out before we were out of Chicago I think and he slept all the way to the lake! Poor little guy was tired from everything that we did.
It felt great to get to the lake and relax, and not to have to worry about doing anything. Jeff spent his every waking moment in the sandbox. He loves digging and dumping the sand into the water. Saturday Jeff took an early and long nap, I did my workout video, took a nice walk with mom, the guys went fishing...it was busy to say the least. Then we had some of mom's family up for dinner and it was so great to sit around and get to spend some time with them. Jeff loves having the boys around so it's fun for all!
Sunday of course was Mother's Day... we were up early and went to church, then went to breakfast. We had decided to change our reservations for the water park visit because we didn't want to rush off and be in a hurry all day. I'm so glad we changed them! Jeff took another early nap, Mom & I did our workout video and the guys fished. It was nice to spend sometime with mom by myself. I don't get to do that, to often. Steph & I decided to do a cookout for Mom at their house that evening; it was so much fun! We all crammed around their table and had a great time, simple and easy...I'm so glad we ended up doing that!!!
Monday we got to hang out and relax a little bit, then we headed off to have lunch with Nick's parents. It was nice to see them, especially since I hadn't seen them since Easter. Lunch wasn't to long because we wanted to get going, but we will see them this weekend, so it was no big deal. We took off and headed to Kalahari... luckily we were able to check in right away and get to our room and change into our suits. We headed straight down and enjoyed a few hours in the park. Jeff didn't like getting splashed in the face, but he enjoyed playing in the water. He spent lots of time just going up and down the slides and running around screaming...he had a great time! Yesterday we just spent some more time at the waterpark and then came home at a decent time. It felt good to get home and get things unpacked and ready for the short work week ahead!

Zoo Trip Video

Deer Watching
Jeff loves to go by the cemetery and look at all of the deer. I took him by last night and there were 19 deer, I'm not exaggerating, right next to the car. Jeff gets so excited whenever he sees them, it's adorable!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jeff!!!
I can't believe Jeff is 2 years old today. It's amazing how fast time really does fly by. I feel like Nick & I were just on our way to the hospital to have him that cold January morning, and how the c-section kept getting more and more delayed because of all of the emergencies. But at 12:51 Jeffrey greeted us with a nice loud scream and our lives were changed forever! He's so much bigger now then he was than!!!

We had a great day to say the least! Mom took Jeff out to the plant so Nick & I could have lunch together with him, since neither of us could take the day off. It was great getting to spend some quality time with him like that. Jeff of course got a forklift ride, which I think was his favorite part...he loves those things! It amazes me how he knows and understands how it all works and what levers to press to make the machines do certain things...
I got off work and headed to get him some balloons for this birthday, then got home and Jeff & I took off to deliver the basketballs to Nick for practice, Jeff got to stay for a little bit and I ran to the library to get some new books. Back to St. Joe's to get Jeff, then we headed home to wait for everyone to get there so we could eat dinner. We were suppose to have Myles, but mom wanted to try out her new stove so we had a beef roast, carrots and mashed potatoes instead. Everyone liked it and it was so yummy.
Jeff enjoyed opening presents...he's getting to be a pro at taking off the wrapping paper. Wonder what it will be like next year? Not rushing it though. He was spoiled rotten by my family. Grandma & Grandpa renewed his zoo pass and got him an animal sweatshirt, which he'll love wearing. Nick & I got him more of the GeoTrax stuff, but I think he's to little for what we got for him. And Uncle John & Aunt Steph got him a mini wheel barrel so he can help out in the yard! It was perfect and very much appreciated. After presents we did cake and icecream, well the girls and Jeff did it...they guys were busy putting together the wheel barrel! It was so nice to be able to celebrate with everyone.

Loving Cars
I know I've said it before on here, but I'm going to reiterate the fact that Jeff is in love with the movie Cars...I think it's his favorite video out there right now, and considering the fact that we watch it almost every night, I think just states the fact even more. He has come to like when the song "Life is A Highway" comes on...he will dance and act all goofy. I took some video to show you just because I think it's cute, plus I need to remember things like this!

The New TV!
Mom & Dad purchased a new 42inch LCD TV for the house on Sunday and it was delivered this afternoon. All 7 of us were sitting around the living room watching the TV tonight...normally that does not happen. It's very nice though, and I'm sure we'll be spending many more evening in there...
Of course the movie we were watching was Cars...Jeff was still up and it's his favorite!

Just Jeff & Mom
Nick has been working weird/long hours at the plant the past few weeks so it's just been Jeff and I. It's nice to have this special time with him, but I know he misses his dad too. Last night I figured I would take some pictures of our fun so Nick could see what we really do when he's not home!!!
