Emma Time!

Having 2 children is wonderful, but I do miss my alone time with each of them. I hardly get any with Emma because Jeff is around all of the time and he likes the attention just as much as Miss E. Well today Jeff got to go to the lake early and Emma came with us. It was so nice to have her alone. I had to sit in the back and feed her so I got some of these great pictures. I love how big her eyes are and how happy she always is!

Emma is Three Months Old!

Emma- you are THREE months old today!!

I seriously can not believe it. Time is going WAY too fast. Someone told me you are 1/4 of the way to one and I almost cried.

You weigh around 13 1/2lbs. You are wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes, just depending on the brand and size 2 diapers. (You are around the same size Jeff was at this age).

You are eating on a good 3-4 hour schedule.

You are a great sleeper!!! You go to bed by 8 on most nights and sleep until 6-7 the next morning. Mommy is so grateful for this. Some mornings I still wake up to make sure you are breathing because it makes me nervous you sleeping that long.

You are just the sweetest, most content baby. It is so easy to take you places. During the day you just go with the flow. Night time you like to be home and enjoy the time with Mommy & Daddy.

You take the pacifier well for Mama, but with Mom & Dad you love chewing/sucking on your hand. You almost have your thumb figured out and I think it's only a matter of time before you are sucking it.

You LOVE your baths. If Mommy doesn't have you in the tube by 630, you start to get very fussy at night. As soon as you get in the tub you are a happy baby, just like your brother used to be.

You LOVE to watch your brother. You just smile at him, even though he keeps bugging you. Jeff loves when you smile at him because he knows you love him.

You have the sweetest smile in the world. I think nothing makes me happier right now than talking to you and having you smile at me.

Your hair is dark and starting to get a little wavy. It's getting longer and it's thin so it just looks out of control. I hope you have dark curly hair, but we'll have to wait and see.

Your eyes are still blue but I'm starting to see hints of brown coming through. I'm curious what color you will end up with.

You love your "recliner" aka the bouncy seat and spend lots of time in there. We got you a swing yesterday and you are loving that as well. I feel bad I cannot hold you as much as I would like, but I'm thankful you don't hold that against me.

There were times I thought I would be happy if Jeff was an only child.......but now I can't imagine my life without you. You are just PURE JOY!

I love watching you grow and change. I can hardly wait to see what you look like at 4 and 6 and 10 months. Only I don't want you to grow!

Who wouldn't love the lake??

Our whole family loves packing up and heading to the lake for the weekend, and who can blame them. This past weekend was memorial day and we got 3 whole days up there!!! We are all looking forward to another summer fun!!!

Last Day of Preschool 3 Fun

I cannot believe that Jeff has completed one year of preschool already, the year just flew by. I'm sure it didn't help that I was pregnant with Emma, but still one year already done. Jeff has changed so much over the past 9 months and made new friends. It's fun to see him turning into a person and watching him interact with other kids.

Coming Home

Nick & Dad have been gone fishing since last Thursday, that's an entire week...
This morning I got this pictures on my phone at work...Mom thought the boys would enjoy these when they got back into the United States and had phone service again!

Emma is Two Months Old!

Emma - you are TWO months old today!

I'm not sure how this happened because I swear I was just in the hospital having you! I'm scared the next 10 months will go by equally as fast and that makes me sad.

You went to the doctors today and you are 11lbs 6oz and 23 inches...growing like a weed!!! You are wearing a size 1-2 diaper and 0-3 months clothes and some 3-6 months.

You are the EASIEST, sweetest baby. You are so content unless you are really hungry and even then you still are a sweetie.

You go everywhere because we are busy! Everyone always comments on how easy and sweet you are!

You are a great sleeper. You take several good naps during the day and at night you really only get up about once. Last night you even had a 7 hour stretch! I can't believe how good you sleep! I'm SO thankful!

You love the pacifier and it helps to keep you calm.

You love your car seat - you take the best naps in it. You do great in the car which is good because we are on the go a lot.

You also love the bouncy seat, daddy calls it your recliner! You sleep so good in it, until your brother comes up and bugs you.

You have really started smiling and responding to us. You "talk" to us and make the sweetest noises. You really love your brother and love to watch him. You smile so big when he talks to you and Jeff always says "She's smiling!!"

You are so amazing, I'm blessed to have you as my little girl. I started back to work today and that has been hard, but hopefully the transition goes smoothly and I know you are in good hands with mama taking care of you.

First Days at Home

Emma at Mama & Papa's...the tradition is to leave the hospital and go to Mama & Papa's to visit with who is there.
