Weekend Post!!

I know it's been awhile, I'm sorry, I hate that I don't update on here like I used too, but it's seriously a time thing. I'm mad at myself because this blog is for me and me only... if I don't update, how am I going to remember what my kids are up to?!?!

It was a gorgeous weekend! Temps in the 70's, you couldn't of asked for anything better. In fact in was going to be so nice that we decided to go to the lake and take the docks out. Much better doing it when it's warm, rather than freezing cold. We stayed home Friday night and the boys mowed our lawn. I love that Jeff still likes helping his dad mow, I wonder how many years it's going to continue?? Then all three monkey's were in bed reading...couldn't pass up this picture at all.

We woke up early Saturday and headed to the lake. It felt great to be up there and just enjoy the weather. Jeff enjoyed gator rides, boat rides, tractor rides...it's a little crazy really, he's spoiled to say the least. We all enjoyed being up there though. Once you go up you want to keep going up, but once we are home we like to be home, it's funny how that works. My main goal of the weekend was go get some good pictures of the kids!!! I think I got a few of them...now I just need to keep up with them for Christmas so I have a good selection for cards!

I love this one of Emma, just looking at me so innocently!

!!!Auntie Love!!!

Aunt Stephie LOVES Emma, that's for sure, and I think it's safe to say that Emma LOVES her too! Someone snapped this picture over the weekend and I just love it, I think it's adorable and it captures both of their personalities perfectly!

Emma is 6 Months Old!!

Emma- it's your half birthday!
You are SIX months old! This has been the fastest year of my life!

You are 16lbs 4 oz and 27 1/2 inches long. You wear size 3 diapers and size 6-9 month clothes. Hopefully you'll slow down growing because you have lots of cute clothes to wear right now.

You take two pretty good naps a day and sleep from 730 until at least 5 the next morning. You are a great sleeper and I'm not complaining on those night you wake up at 2 for a bottle...sometimes you are just a little hungry. (Honestly - I kind of like the middle of the night feedings. It's so nice and quiet and you just smile at me).

You are just so sweet and happy! You love to be held and whine and cry until we pick you up, but you love the jumperoo and exersaucer. This week you started sitting up all on your own. The cast came off and up you went. The doctor said we can expect you to be crawling & standing by 9 months, that made me a little sad.

You REALLY like eating. You have had cereal, and all the veggies and fruits! You have cereal in the morning, a veggie & fruit for lunch, and cereal and veggie for dinner. You have a BIG appetite. When I am eating something - you always open your mouth and try to reach for my food. It cracks me up... We've started giving you puffs but you aren't to sure about those.

You think your brother is the best thing ever and now that you are getting bigger - Jeff is starting to play with you and it makes me SO happy to see you interact. He likes to sit in the car and talk to you and you just smile and laugh. I can tell you think he is the greatest thing in the world. I hope you always love each other.

You are a MOVER! You roll everywhere now. If I put you in the floor to play and walk off for even 2 minutes I will come back to you being somewhere totally different. Changing your diaper lately is like wrestling an alligator. You do NOT like to be still!! Last night I put you in your bed and when I came in to cover you up, you were at the other end of the crib.

I think you are happy being on the go. You LOVE riding in the stroller - you never fuss if we go for walks. You also are always so good and content to be in your car seat in the car or in your car seat in a shopping cart. I'm thankful I can take you places easily.

I am just CRAZY CRAZY in love with you! You have made our family complete and I can't imagine life without your sweet little face. You and Jeff are my joy!

People say you and your brother look so much alike I just had to compare...you have the same eyes, nose & mouth and I can tell you are siblings, but I don't think you are that much alike. You are for sure my children though...no denying either one of you!

FREEDOM!!!

Emma got her cast off yesterday...what a wonderful feeling!!!! She wasn't to sure of the saw taking the cast off, but once the thing was off of her arm, her thumb went instantly into her mouth.

Working at MOOM!

The boys love to spend their weekends working at the property! It's nice they have a place to go really, keeps them busy and out of our way. This weekend they spent tearing down some trees and cutting up some of the branches that were just laying over there.

Emma got her first seat on Uncle John's tractor...Jeff wasn't to sure what to think about this.

First Day of School

Jeff started 4 year old preschool today! My little man is growing up and getting so darn big. He was so excited for school this morning and to go and see his friends again and Miss Karen. I love that he loves school and it's great having him right next door to me!

Broken Arm

Well poor Miss Emma has a broken arm and it's been quite a whirlwind 24hrs to say the least. It all started on Tuesday when I got a phone call from Mom saying that Emma did something to her arm and she thought she needed to take her down to St. Luke's. I ran out of the office and met them there. When I arrived poor Emma was just screaming from the pain and Jeff was crying because he thought I was going to be mad at him, which I was but it wasn't the time.

It took forever to get xrays and for Emma to settle down but once she got some drugs in her she fell asleep. Turns out that she broke her humerous... We ended up having to take an ambulance ride to Toledo Hospital and that's where the real fun began. We had to be admitted there because of the break, CSB had to get involved, Emma had to have full body xrays done and also a ctscan. It was a hellish 24 hours trying to explain everything, but thankfully all went well.

We just go back from getting her tiny cast put on her arm. Luckily it will only be on for 3 weeks...I don't think I could handle any longer than that!

Miss Emma enjoying Toledo Hospital, she was such a good girl the whole time.

Waking up in her own bed. It's an adjustment trying to get use to that arm.

The cast is finally on! It's so much smaller than the splint they had on her arm.
