This past weekend was gorgeous, no complaining about the weather at all, and we had just as much fun to prove it! I don't know about any of you, but when Friday nights roll around I'm exhausted and honestly I'm ready to be done. So in good Friday night fashion, we ordered some pizza and just hung out it...it felt great! I did manage to get my test taken, but the the computer lost it so I had to tkae it all over again...UGH...I was not happy about that one!
Saturday morning Nick had to work so it was just Jeff & Me. We did our usual bumming, but then Steph called and wanted to know if we wanted to go to Johnston Farms in Swanton to see the animals and get some apples...it sounded good to us, so we were on our way. Of course we had to wait while we were at theHoover's...shocking I know, but it worked out because we waited for Nick and John gave the 3 of us a ride on the haywagon. We went back behind their house into the woods, oh my gosh it was so much fun. Jeff loved it, but he didn't like how "itchy" the straw was. After Nick got there we took off to Johnston Farms and it was okay. Honestly Jeff liked the sandbox that they have there and the guys watched someone making apple cider, and Steph & I got some apples and apple crisp mix, it was nice. When we were done there we headed off to the Butterfly House because one of John's friends was doing hayrides out there. I have never been out there before but my goodness is that place neat. We didn't really do anything expect sit and relax while Jeff enjoyed playing in tires filled with corn! By the time the haywagon ride was ready we were too. It was really neat though, they took us back into a Christmas tree farm driving us all around, very neat to see. By this time we were hungry and headed to Loma's for lunch. We had such a great time, Jeff was the best he really has ever been, with no toys or anything for him! When we got home, we spent the afternoon just relaxing and not doing much of anything, well Nick watched the Michigan game and I cooked but that was about it.
Sunday was a lazy morning!!! And it felt great... I literally did nothing until 12, then I busted my butt around the house. Nick & Jeff pulled all of our flowers and got our yard looking bare again, but it felt good to have that done. We spent the entire afternoon at Steph & John's making applesauce and baking things we needed to drop off at church. The guys practiced shooting clay pigeons for the Galena trip coming up, and then we headed over to Mom & Dad's for a nice family dinner with Fr. Jeff.
The weekends are awesome...the best part is always when Jeff asks me where he is going the next day and he gets upset telling me he wishes I could stay home with him. Gotta Love Him!
