Surgery Day

Both kiddos needed tubes put in their ears and instead of doing one at a time we did them both at the same time! Call me crazy, but I'd do it again in a heart beat.

Jeff was so cute making sure Emma was okay while she was there. When Emma was waking up and started crying, Jeff started crying too and said "I know Emma, I don't feel good either." Such a big heart he has!!! I will say that I'm glad it's done though...

The Snow Has Come & Gone

It snowed a little bit on Tuesday but enough that Jeff could go out and play in the snow and he was happy! Now it's gone and he's wondering why!

Merry Christmas!!

What a great Christmas it was. Jeff is at the perfect age and was just beyond excited the entire time, Emma didn't really know what was going on, but still had fun opening gifts. We didn't really have any big plans, Christmas morning the kids opened gifts at the house, then we headed over to Mom & Dad's for breakfast and then spent the entire day over there. It was so relaxing and nice to not worry about being on any kind of schedule.

The kids were spoiled and got lots of goodies and Nick & I were too.

The Start of the Christmas Season

December is such a busy month and it's hard to get caught up in the commotion of it all. I was so tired of buying gifts and worrying about who we were buying for that it took the fun out of it for me. BUT when we started with the family parties, all of that seemed hustle and bustle just went away and we started to enjoy what was going on.

One of my favorite days during Christmas is when we get together with Fr. Jeff and exchange gifts. Normally it's the Sunday before Christmas so the partying feels like it's really beginning.
One of my goals during the holidays was to really get some good pictures of all of us together.

Even though the kids weren't cooperating, I liked our family picture.

I LOVE my kiddos more than anything. Jeff finally took a picture for me and I love it...both kids smiling and looking cute!

Santa visited Jeff at school and brought him a gift. I love how serious he looks here, like he was listening so carefully as to what Santa was saying.

Emma is 9 Months Old!!!

Emma- You are NINE months old! I cannot believe it. I love that you have your own personality and that you are turning into one adorable person, but you are growing way to quickly!

You are 18lbs 8oz and are 28.75 inches long...95% for height...you take after your Aunt Steph for sure. You wear size 4 diapers and size 18 month clothes. You just keep growing and growing...

You take two naps a day and then you are in bed around 7 and sleep until at least 630 the next morning. I do love my sleep at night, but I do miss my middle of the nights waking with you.

You are just so sweet and happy! You LOVE your daddy, all's he has to do is look at you and you start giggling with excitement! I'm glad because he loves you so much. You still love your mommy though...if I'm around forget anyone else you just want me to hold you.

You are a crawling machine! You crawl every where and get into trouble whenever you can. You have started pulling up, but only to your knees...thank goodness...no walking yet please!

You say mama, dada, all done, and doggie. You sign all done and more, you wave bye-bye and give us high five. You amaze me more and more every day.

You REALLY like eating. Baby food is almost a thing of our past - for breakfast you eat oatmeal with some fruit in it, then either yogurt or toast. For lunch you have some baby food, then some people food. And for dinner you'll eat a fruit and veggie and then whatever we are having for dinner. YOU LOVE FOOD!!! Plus you are down to 3 bottles a day now too.

You think your brother is the best thing ever and now that you are getting bigger - Jeff is starting to play with you and it makes me SO happy to see you interact. I can tell you think he is the greatest thing in the world. The way you giggle when you see him melts my heart!!! He loves playing with you...he runs somewhere and calls out to you and you crawl after him. You guys do this over and over again and you giggle the whole time!

You are such an amazing little girl...love you Emma!

Emma is 8 Months Old!!!

Emma- You are EIGHT months old! I cannot believe it. It makes me so sad, I love how you are interacting now but before I know it you are going to be one!

I'm not sure how much you weigh, but it has to be close to 17lbs and you just keep growing! You wear size 3 diapers and size 12 month clothes. I'm hoping you slow down so we can enjoy some of the cute clothes you have in this size.

You take two naps a day and then you are in bed around 630 or 7 and sleep until at least 5 the next morning. Sometimes you wake up for a bottle but that's okay, I enjoy my time with you. (Honestly - I kind of like the middle of the night feedings. It's so nice and quiet and you just smile at me).

You are just so sweet and happy! You LOVE Mommy & Mama for sure and want us if other people are holding you. You squish your face and cry if you are down on the ground when mommy is around, you want me to always be holding you! A lot of times I wear you in the Ergo, just so I can get things done around the house.

You started crawling this week!!! You only crawl a few times then fall, but you get right back up and try again. You've also figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up and you get so mad when you do this in your bed.

You are saying "mama" & "dada" and use them correctly...not all of the time, but you say it. AND you starting waving when we say bye-bye. Daddy & I love watching you grow!

You REALLY like eating. You have 3TBSP of cereal with fruit for breakfast, eat a veggie & 1/2 fruit for lunch, and then 2 TBSP of cereal with fruit and whole veggie with meat for dinner. You have 4 bottles in there too. You LOVE people food and you want whatever we are eating. I've started giving you some people food...you like everything! Water is your new favorite thing and you drink out of the cup all by yourself!!!

You think your brother is the best thing ever and now that you are getting bigger - Jeff is starting to play with you and it makes me SO happy to see you interact. I can tell you think he is the greatest thing in the world. The way you giggle when you see him melts my heart!!!

You are the most amazing baby ever!!! You are so happy and you light up whenever I come into the room. I love how excited you get when you see me... Your smile just melts my heart and puts a smile on my face. I love being your mommy!!!

Working Hard Weekend!

It was a weekend of work at the lake!!! The leaves have started to make there way to the ground and that means John's equipment comes up so we can get everything all cleaned up. The yard doesn't stay clear for long, but it sure looks nice for those few minutes when everything is picked up.

Felt great to be up there enjoying the day. We were lucky and and the sun was shining, which is perfect for the outdoor work. It was so nice to be able to spend the day outside, you don't get very many November days you can do that.

Jeff has a great help this year and had his own blower for blowing the leaves.

Em, go her first ride on Uncle John's lawn mower...

Sunday we went into Ft. Wayne to help Grandpa Didier clean up his yard. Jeff wanted to help too but wanted a back pack blower to wear...he has some growing to do, wouldn't you say?

Emma just sat and watched us all hard at work.

A much needed family picture!!!

Uncle John spending some quality time with Emma and teaching her about leaves.

Jeff so serious watching everyone working.

Happy Halloween!!

What a great night we had!! My family came over to celebrate with us which is starting to become a new tradition I think. I made some yummy things for dinner and everyone enjoyed sitting outside drink hot apple cider and passing out candy.

Jeff decided he wanted to go trick or treating so Nick walked him up and down the street was perfect. I'm glad he doesn't really understand yet, because he was fine with that little bit and then he came in and got ready for bed.

My Little Bumble Bees!!!

Emma's first halloween...she didn't care about trick or treating.

Phone Pictures

I take pictures on my phone all week long and email them to myself, mostly because half the time, my camera phone is what I have on me since it's so much smaller. I do forget to upload here though and I need to get better about doing that!

Emma is 7 Months Old!

Emma- You are SEVEN months old! Time just keeps going by faster and faster.

I'm not sure how much you weigh, but it has to be close to 17lbs and you just keep growing! You wear size 3 diapers and size 9-12 month clothes. Really it's mostly 12 months though, you are growing like a weed. I'm really wondering how long you are even going to be able to wear most of these clothes.

You take two pretty good naps a day and sleep from 700 until at least 5 the next morning. You are a great sleeper and I'm not complaining on those night you wake up at 2 for a bottle...sometimes you are just a little hungry. (Honestly - I kind of like the middle of the night feedings. It's so nice and quiet and you just smile at me).

You are just so sweet and happy! You love to be held and whine and cry until we pick you up. You really love sitting up and playing with your toys. You have figured out how to "fall" gracefully and then roll to your belly and push up high on your arms. You still like the jumperoo and exersaucer, but not for as long of a time frame.

You REALLY like eating. You have 2 TBSP of cereal with fruit for breakfast, eat a veggie & 1/2 fruit for lunch, and then 2 TBSP of cereal with fruit and whole veggie with meat for dinner. You have 4 bottles in there too. You are starting to get people food too. So far you've tried toast, mashed potatoes, amish noddles, chicken and pizza crust...you love them all!!! Plus now you are dricking water from a sippy... getting way to big on me.

You think your brother is the best thing ever and now that you are getting bigger - Jeff is starting to play with you and it makes me SO happy to see you interact. He likes to sit in the car and talk to you and you just smile and laugh. I can tell you think he is the greatest thing in the world. I hope you always love each other.

You are a MOVER! You roll everywhere now. If I put you in the floor to play and walk off for even 2 minutes I will come back to you being somewhere totally different. Changing your diaper lately is like wrestling an alligator. You do NOT like to be still!! Last night I put you in your bed and when I came in to cover you up, you were at the other end of the crib.

I think you are happy being on the go. You LOVE riding in the stroller - you never fuss if we go for walks. Most of the time if we go for a run, you'll fall asleep on me.

I am just CRAZY CRAZY in love with you! Your smile just melts my heart and puts a smile on my face. I love being your mommy!!!

Weekend Post!!

I know it's been awhile, I'm sorry, I hate that I don't update on here like I used too, but it's seriously a time thing. I'm mad at myself because this blog is for me and me only... if I don't update, how am I going to remember what my kids are up to?!?!

It was a gorgeous weekend! Temps in the 70's, you couldn't of asked for anything better. In fact in was going to be so nice that we decided to go to the lake and take the docks out. Much better doing it when it's warm, rather than freezing cold. We stayed home Friday night and the boys mowed our lawn. I love that Jeff still likes helping his dad mow, I wonder how many years it's going to continue?? Then all three monkey's were in bed reading...couldn't pass up this picture at all.

We woke up early Saturday and headed to the lake. It felt great to be up there and just enjoy the weather. Jeff enjoyed gator rides, boat rides, tractor rides...it's a little crazy really, he's spoiled to say the least. We all enjoyed being up there though. Once you go up you want to keep going up, but once we are home we like to be home, it's funny how that works. My main goal of the weekend was go get some good pictures of the kids!!! I think I got a few of them...now I just need to keep up with them for Christmas so I have a good selection for cards!

I love this one of Emma, just looking at me so innocently!

!!!Auntie Love!!!

Aunt Stephie LOVES Emma, that's for sure, and I think it's safe to say that Emma LOVES her too! Someone snapped this picture over the weekend and I just love it, I think it's adorable and it captures both of their personalities perfectly!

Emma is 6 Months Old!!

Emma- it's your half birthday!
You are SIX months old! This has been the fastest year of my life!

You are 16lbs 4 oz and 27 1/2 inches long. You wear size 3 diapers and size 6-9 month clothes. Hopefully you'll slow down growing because you have lots of cute clothes to wear right now.

You take two pretty good naps a day and sleep from 730 until at least 5 the next morning. You are a great sleeper and I'm not complaining on those night you wake up at 2 for a bottle...sometimes you are just a little hungry. (Honestly - I kind of like the middle of the night feedings. It's so nice and quiet and you just smile at me).

You are just so sweet and happy! You love to be held and whine and cry until we pick you up, but you love the jumperoo and exersaucer. This week you started sitting up all on your own. The cast came off and up you went. The doctor said we can expect you to be crawling & standing by 9 months, that made me a little sad.

You REALLY like eating. You have had cereal, and all the veggies and fruits! You have cereal in the morning, a veggie & fruit for lunch, and cereal and veggie for dinner. You have a BIG appetite. When I am eating something - you always open your mouth and try to reach for my food. It cracks me up... We've started giving you puffs but you aren't to sure about those.

You also are always so good and content to be in your car seat in the car or in your car seat in a shopping cart. I'm thankful I can take you places easily.

I am just CRAZY CRAZY in love with you! You have made our family complete and I can't imagine life without your sweet little face. You and Jeff are my joy!

People say you and your brother look so much alike I just had to compare...you have the same eyes, nose & mouth and I can tell you are siblings, but I don't think you are that much alike. You are for sure my children though...no denying either one of you!

FREEDOM!!!

Emma got her cast off yesterday...what a wonderful feeling!!!! She wasn't to sure of the saw taking the cast off, but once the thing was off of her arm, her thumb went instantly into her mouth.

Working at MOOM!

The boys love to spend their weekends working at the property! It's nice they have a place to go really, keeps them busy and out of our way. This weekend they spent tearing down some trees and cutting up some of the branches that were just laying over there.

Emma got her first seat on Uncle John's tractor...Jeff wasn't to sure what to think about this.

First Day of School

Jeff started 4 year old preschool today! My little man is growing up and getting so darn big. He was so excited for school this morning and to go and see his friends again and Miss Karen. I love that he loves school and it's great having him right next door to me!

Broken Arm

Well poor Miss Emma has a broken arm and it's been quite a whirlwind 24hrs to say the least. It all started on Tuesday when I got a phone call from Mom saying that Emma did something to her arm and she thought she needed to take her down to St. Luke's. I ran out of the office and met them there. When I arrived poor Emma was just screaming from the pain and Jeff was crying because he thought I was going to be mad at him, which I was but it wasn't the time.

It took forever to get xrays and for Emma to settle down but once she got some drugs in her she fell asleep. Turns out that she broke her humerous... We ended up having to take an ambulance ride to Toledo Hospital and that's where the real fun began. We had to be admitted there because of the break, CSB had to get involved, Emma had to have full body xrays done and also a ctscan. It was a hellish 24 hours trying to explain everything, but thankfully all went well.

We just go back from getting her tiny cast put on her arm. Luckily it will only be on for 3 weeks...I don't think I could handle any longer than that!

Miss Emma enjoying Toledo Hospital, she was such a good girl the whole time.

Waking up in her own bed. It's an adjustment trying to get use to that arm.

The cast is finally on! It's so much smaller than the splint they had on her arm.

Emma is Five Months Old!

Emma- you are FIVE months old!!!!

I'm not totally sure - but you weigh close to 15 lbs.
You wear a size 3 diaper and 6 or 9 month clothes, depending on the brand.

You take one good long nap every morning and usually a semi good nap in the afternoon.
You sleep so good at night, down by 730, then up around 5 for a bottle and then back to bed until mommy has to wake you up to leave for grandma's.

You are usually so happy! You just smile at everyone when they talk to you. You always have a big grin for your mommy & brother.

You are a MOVER! You roll everywhere on the floor. You are busy, busy, busy, you love to look around and see what's going on and you always have your eye on your brother.

You still love your bouncy seat, but I think we will be putting it away soon. The swing got put away this week, but you are loving your exersauser, and being the floor with toys!

Jeff is always on the lookout for you. If you are napping or not in sight - he will say "Where's Em?" He calls you Em or "sis" but rarely Emma.

You are pure joy! You are SO loved! I can't believe you are almost half a year old! Time is just passing by way to quickly.

Cedar Point

It was Nick & my first trip to Cedar Point together. How scary is that? We've been together 7 years now and are finally just making our way there. Anyway, Mom & Dad bought all of us tickets and so the Freiburger Crew went off for the day! Off course the day that we go was the hottest day of the summer... 96 & humid, but we all handled it well. Even Miss Emma was a trooper, she was awesome the entire day and slept where ever we could find shade.

Jeff had a blast and 3 weeks later is still talking about how much fun he had. He has his map out almost daily telling us which rides were his favorites and wondering which rides we had gone on. It's cute really...he keeps asking when we are taking him back!

Waiting in line for bumper cars.

Jeff & Daddy, ready to hit some cars!

Jeff on the kids Power Tower...he wasn't sure at first, but ended up loving it!

Hands in the air and everything.

Miss Emma trying to stay cool.
