Speech Improvement!

I'm so glad that Jeff is in speech, we are seeing such an improvement and he's only had 3 sessions!!! Last night when I was getting him in his jammies, I called Oliver & Olin into the room and Jeff repeated their names clearly. I was shocked. I ran and grabbed the camera to get this special moment on tape. I got what I wanted of course, but Jeff's not in it to much because he likes to watch himself instead. I'll hopefully get things uploaded this weekend!

Lack of pictures...

this new camera is wonderful, but uploading the pictures is not as easy as it was before. I have to get pictures off of there from 2 weeks ago. I promise I'll get more pictures up soon... I hate not having them up there.

Lazy Weekend

I think that is the only way to describe the weekend. It was laid back and actually a lot of fun! Friday night we went bowling with John & Steph. Nick had wanted to take Jeff bowling the weekend before, but we had concluded he was to little. Well after trying to figure out something to do, we figured we would give bowling a try... We all had a blast! John & Nick kicked Steph & my butts...our scores were 86 & 88...not to hot I would say. Even Jeff had a good time, well he enjoyed resetting the pins each time, but still we all had fun. After bowling we headed up to the mall to grab a bite to eat in the food court. We hadn't been up there in ages, and as always the food was super yummy!
Look at that look...

Daddy & Jeff talking strategy.

Thank goodness I spent some time making food for the Pampered Chef party Friday afternoon, because Nick had to work on Saturday morning and I would have been a little crazed!!! It was so much fun having the Pampered Chef party. Seriously we could have one every once in awhile. It was nice ordering some new things for the kitchen and catching up with friends. We went to church Saturday night and then out for dinner, just the 3 of us. It was nice to be a family together. Oh yeah, Nick's team won their tournament game, so that means next weekend there is another game.

Jeff playing outside in the snow and loving it!

Jeff helped mom make brownies & this was the end result.

Sunday was a boring day! Woke up and made breakfast at home while everyone else went out for dinner. We honestly sat around all day. To have something to do mom & I ran to the store to get a few things and so I could make chocolate cookies...like I said boring! I did get a little nap in which was nice. Steph & John came over for dinner and then the Hoover's came over to have desert...it was so much fun!

Talking Jeff Here We Come

Well I've listened to everyone tell me to not worry about Jeff talking, that he'll talk when he's ready, and that he's just a boy, don't worry, boys talk late. Well I'm hear to tell you that it's not normal and that Jeff has a problem.

At his 2 year checkup voiced our concerns to the doctor and she told me he is at a 15-18 month old level instead of 2 year old level and that we should get him evaluated and get him the help that he needs. I was so happy that she wanted him to get help!

Yesterday we had our evaluation and Joy could not believe that we weren't seen sooner. She said we did the right thing bringing him in and that Jeff has a severe speech development problem. He says maybe, maybe 10 words, and most of those are only after you ask him to say them, and he doesn't move his mouth to make sounds. She wants us to bring him in 2x a week for awhile, then slow it down. She is expecting an excellent outcome, and Nick & I couldn't be more happy. I take Jeff Monday at 4:30 and I'm so excited for him to start getting the help that he truly needs!

Amazing Weekend

Well I wasn't sure how the weekend would go, but it went 100 times better then I could of expected. I guess I should tell you what we did...right?

Friday night nothing to much was going on. We went to the gro
cery store to get somethings for Jeff for our weekend trip, and then the boys went and got their hair cuts at Great Clips. I normally only take Jeff to Jody, but he needed a hair cut desperately and Jody wasn't available. The lady did an okay job. She pissed me off at first because she said she wouldn't use scissors to cut his hair because it's dangerous. Well Jody has been cutting his hair for over a year now and we've never had a problem! The lady insisted on using trimmers, but I was afraid it would looked buzzed instead of like a little boy haircut, but it ended up turning out cute! Jeff was so proud of showing off his haircut to his daddy...wish I would of had the camera to take some pictures, but I forgot it at home. We got some quick Chipotle & Burger King, then home to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Saturday, Nick had an early game and I was up getting things together around the house so we could leave at a decent time for Tiffin. It's amazing how much stuff you need for a 2 year old for an overnight trip. Nick said I over packed, but how can you not take his stuffed animals that he's used to sleeping with, or not have food for him to eat? It was a busy morning, but we actually got down to Tiffin around 12:30 which was perfect because then Jeff could take his nap down there and get used to it a bit. See we went down to Tiffin so we could go out with Howard & Lauren, and then Nick's parents were going to be watching the boys. Ruthann was in heaven having her boys home I'm sure!!! Anyway, with Jeff down for a nap, I got to love on Lukas for a bit and oh he is just so sweet. Can't believe he's almost 7 weeks old either, time seriously just flies when they are that small. The guys were downstairs playing the Wii and having a great time, while us girls were upstairs yapping about who knows what. It felt good to be down there.

Jeff & Gus eating pushups together...yes the dog is really sitting at the table!

Jeff "helping" with the dishes...

Look at the grin...Jeff loves playing with Luke

We had a great time going out! We went to the Mill to have dinner, then to DP's for drinks afterwards. We were home at the early hour of 10:30, but it was the latest I had been out in I couldn't tell you how long. I did however find a new favorite drink that I LOVE...Long Island Ice Teas...OMG they are fabulous. I can't believe I've never had one before. Believe me when I say, I'll be having them much more often for sure!!!

Jeff was just okay for Ruthann, she said he cried on and off while we were gone, which I honestly was shocked about because he never cries when we leave, but on the plus side he went to sleep without any problems. Of course he woke up in the middle of the night and had to sleep with mom & dad, but ahh, he won't be wanting to do that to much longer.

Sunday we got up, I did some homework and then we all decided there was no way we were going to make church at 8, so we took our time getting ready. We all went to church and Jeff was great again! I tell you what, a sucker is all it takes for him to be good and it's well worth it if I'm able to listen to father during church. Ruthann fixed a great lunch and then we headed home so Jeff would sleep in his own bed for nap, plus mom needed a nap too! My nap was great and much needed since Jeff tossed and turned so much in his sleep. When my parents came home from the lake, Mom & I went to the spagetti dinner at St. Joe's with Jeff and enjoyed ourselves. I love going to that and the food is so great, wish they could have them more often for sure.

The weekend was wonderful and Lauren & I are already talking about when we can do it again!!!

Eventful Day for Jeff

And I wasn't even with him...Grandme was!!! Jeff & Grandme had a great day together, they started off by going down to Queen of Aspotles and seeing Aunt Steph and going to church with her class, well the whole school really. Mom said Jeff was an angel in church, which is always nice to hear. Then after church they got to walk back with the kids and Jeff handed out his Valentine's Day Cards to the entire class. I guess he handed them out one at a time to each of the kids. Steph's class really likes Jeff, so I figured it would be fun for him to get to hand out Valentine's Day Cards. Jeff even had a card for Aunt Steph! I can just imagine him walking around handing them all out, I bet it was adorable. After that trip, they made there way to the plant to see the new construction on the plant. Jeff was very intreged with all of the equipment, so much so he through a huge fit when he left...we are all shocked by that one!

When I got home from work, I got Jeff up and then we went for a walk. It was so nice out earlier that I wanted to get a good exercise in. We walked a certain way so that way maybe we would see some deer on the path, and of course we were lucky enough to see 5 of them in the field. After Nick got home we took off to feed the deer in the cemertary. I had some apples that were going bad and figured the deer would enjoy them. Jeff loved watching the deer eat the apples. None of them came right up to the car, but at least we got to see theme eat. We headed off to Meijer to get a few things, then both of the boys got hair cuts tonight, and goodness do they look lots better!!!!

My New Favorite Thing...

Our Canon Powershot Camera that was so nicely purchased by my parents for Christmas last year broke again! That is the 3rd time since December that I've had to send it in for repairs and I'm done. I need a camera that I can count, especially with a little boy around the house. Yesterday Nick & I had to Best Buy to look at our options and I fell in LOVE with this beauty. It's great, takes wonderful pictures and even has a burst setting so I can multiple pictures quickly. I have played with it to much yet, but looking forward getting to this weekend.

Zoo Trip Video

Of course I took video while were at the zoo! There is 3 different videos all together, if you watch until the monkey part, you'll see how they were interacting with each other, it was really neat.

Nice Warm Weekend!

I figured I would write about the weekend sooner then last weekend...that was just way to long, and when it gets that far out, I forget things that we did. It was nice to spend the weekend together though, just the 3 of us. Mom & Dad went to the lake on Saturday so we had some time together as a family.

Let's see, Friday night Nick went out with his cousins in Bowling Green, so that left Jeff & I to hang out together. I ordered some PF Changs and we hung out with Mom & Dad, made some popcorn and watched Cars of course. Jeff even snuggled in on the couch for a bit, so that was really nice. I love when he's all snuggly, you don't get that to often anymore.

Jeff watching the popcorn pop. He looks so serious!

Saturday morning Nick had to work and asked us to bring him breakfast, so I got up early and got ready and then woke Jeff up. On the way up front I looked out the living room window and saw a herd of deer in the backyard! I couldn't believe it...Jeff was so excited he was at the window talking to them. I then had to call mom & dad to let them know what we saw and Jeff was trying to jibber to them about the deer. It was so cute, he was trying so hard and was so excited about it. Anyway, we got the plant, had some breakfast with Nick, and of course Jeff got to sit on the forklift and do his thing, he is so spoiled. Then we ran a couple of errands and headed to the zoo!!! It was so nice out there was no way I could not take him to the zoo. We had a great time, saw lots of animals, Jeff got to walk for most of it, he even interacted with a monkey which was really cute too. It's amazing how lucky he gets interacting with animlas.

The Deers in the backyard. It was amazing to see them that close.

Every animal was out at the zoo!
Here the polar bears were playing with each other.

Tiger pacing around the cage.

Jeff & the Baby Gorilla

We got to watch the elephants come out. They were so happy to be outdoors.

Nick's parents came up Saturday afternoon and we had a great visit with them! We didn't really do to much, just hung out while Jeff took a nap, then we all went to church together, and came back for a nice dinner. But it was just nice to be together and of course Jeff enjoyed his time with them too. He is so obxious when they are around, I'm sure it's because the behavior is encouraged, but it's lots of fun to watch.

Yesterday was a day filled with a whole lotta nothing! I got up and walked, then home to get ready for the day. We didn't do to much, but we went to lunch and than ran to Meijers for a few things. Jeff played outside for awhile, Nick helped Dad put the entertainment center together, and Mom, Steph & I walked for awhile, but really that was it. It was very relaxing! Looking forward to another work week, and then another fun filled weekend!

Late Weekend Update

Well what a weekend it was! I can't believe it took me so long to get this post up, especially considering tomorrow is already Friday again!!! Anyway, as always the weekend was spent running from here and there, but it's nice getting to spend time with the men in my life!

Friday Nick had to work late, so I took Jeff to the store and we got all the fixings that we needed for the weekend full of fun. We had planned to go out for dinner, but because of the late schedule we just ordered Frickers and got take out instead. It was just as good, if not better since we were in the comfort of our home.

We were up early on Saturday to head to Nick's basketball game. Mom decided to come with us this time, and that was nice. A few of the guys from the plant also showed up! Jeff loves going to the games though. My goodness, he gets so excited seeing the score board lite up. The ref actually gave him a ball and let him play during half time. Dad & Nick headed up to the lake for the afternoon to check on the cottage so it was just mom & I. We ran a few errands, but came home and just relaxed, felt great! We went to church at 5, Jeff was an angel again since he had a sucker, then we were off to the Leonard's 50th Annivesary party. We had a great time, but man is Jeff a lot of work at those things. He just wants to follow what all of the other kids are doing, and of course knock some of them down. Luckily some of the parents didn't care to much.

Sunday was an exciting day at our house...it was Super Bowl Sunday and the Steeler's were in it to win it!!! I had lots of cooking to do, but we took a little time in the morning to go to Bass Pro. Jeff loves it there, of course Nick does too, but Nick let Jeff shoot at Rifle Range that they have set up. Good lord he LOVED every second of it, and actually hit some targets too. When we were done there we went and had some pizza, then home and played outside for awhile since it was so nice out. We had a great time and made a snow family. Jeff even liked being in the snow, which he normally hates.

We had a great evening and enjoyed the Super Bowl...I could of done without so much cooking, but it still was a great time!

Deer Watching

Jeff loves to go by the cemetery and look at all of the deer. I took him by last night and there were 19 deer, I'm not exaggerating, right next to the car. Jeff gets so excited whenever he sees them, it's adorable!
