Obsessed with Trucks!

Jeff is completly obsessed with construction equipment. It doesn't matter what it is, he LOVES everything and he is engrossed when he's looking at it. On Wednesday Mom & I went to lunch at Sloppy Joe's...it's a yummy little hot dog place in downtown Perrysburg. Well the old Perrysburg high school is across the street and they are doing some major remodeling to it. Of course there was equipment everywhere. Jeff was so excited by it that he just stood and watched and wouldn't even eat his lunch. I took these pictures just so I can show him one day how much he really loved construction equipment. I know you can't see the equipment, but the darn trees are in the way.

Park Time

Jeff LOVES the park! Everytime we drive down Monclova Road and go by the park by St. Luke's, he points out the window and gets all excited. We really don't take him that often either, maybe every couple of weeks, but he sure knows it's a place of fun! Last night we took him to Side Cut and let him play on everything. Nick took him around and Jeff enjoyed every minute of it. I'm glad we were able to take some time and do something Jeff likes to do!

He was a little nervous at first but he LOVES it now!

Planes & Concrete Mixers...

Every little boys dream! Jeff has no idea how lucky he is... Yesterday Jeff got to go up to the Detroit airport with Grandma to take Uncle Dick & Aunt Cathy back to the airport. While they were there a huge plane flew right over head. I can just picture the huge grin and excitement coming out of him. He LOVES those darn planes! But of course that wasn't the only excitement for yesterday... Uncle John & Aunt Steph had concrete poured so we took Jeff out so he could see the big truck and watch how it gets poured. Jeff was a little unsure of it all, but loved getting down and playing in the sand. Of course I'm sure it helped getting to sit on Uncle John's tractor!!!

Weekend was to short!

I can't believe the weekend is already over! Why does it take so long for Friday to get here and then, bam, before we know it, it's already Monday morning? Weekends need to be longer...that's all I got to say!

The weekend was terrific! Friday Nick told me at 2:30 that he wanted to go to the Mud Hens game with some friends, fine whatever, Jeff and I are going up to the lake still. So Jeff & I went up to the lake with mom and dad, and enjoyed dinner out on the patio. Felt great to be up there and relax.

Saturday Jeff woke up at 7 and immediately wanted to go outside. I swang him on the swing for awhile and then mom took over so I could go for a morning run. I ran 3 miles in 34 minutes and I was so proud of myself. It's not the 23 minutes I used to run it in, but it's better then not running at all. Since we had a wedding to go into Ft. Wayne for, I put Jeff down for an early nap and took advantage of the quiet. Steph & I painted out toes and nails, I took a nice shower and got ready to leave. The wedding was very nice. We ended up watching Blaine during the ceremony which was fun! He's such a good baby. Jeff wasn't to sure about having to share his stuff with him, but it worked out...plus it gave me a glimse of having 2 children...think we'll be waiting a little bit longer! It was nice getting to see the Freiburger's at the reception and talking to them for a bit.

Sunday was another beautiful day at the lake. We went to breakfast at Adam's Lake and ate on the patio. It's so nice to go to breakfast and sit outside looking at a lake...makes you feel like you aren't missing any lake time! We spent most of Sunday just relaxing outside. Everyone got some sun, and it was great! Jeff got a boat ride in Grandpa's boat...he just LOVES those things. I don't think he understands how lucky he is. Sunday night we enjoyed PF Changs and Dick & Cathy's company. It's so nice spending time with them, especially since we don't get to see them that often!

Oh yeah, the highlight of the weekend was a crop duster that kept flying right over the cottage. Jeff LOVED getting to see the plan up close and personal. Nick took him out Sunday morning so they could get a good shot of one.

The Crop Duster!

I know I wrote a little bit about this in the weekend review, but I had forgotten I had taken pictures until I uploaded them to my computer. So Sunday morning Nick had taken Jeff down to the fields to watch the crop duster. Jeff was a little unsure of it because it came so close to the car, but he was so excited to see an airplane up close. Nick brought him back to the cottage and we noticed that it was headed out again, so we got into the car, this time with camera in hand, and got some pictures!

(Don't worry we were parked, that's why he's out of his carseat!)

Trip To The Seneca Fair

Last night we made our way down to Tiffin so Jeff could see all of the animals. Well and we also figured that we should go see Kourtney's animals, so it was just a plus that Jeff was going to see others too. It was really nice actually. We took Jeff to see Kourtney's cow, he liked it, but he wasn't to sure about what he should do. Then we walked through the rabbit, chicken, and duck barn...Jeff LOVED seeing all of the animals. We stopped off to look at some tractors and then we headed to the First Aid tent and Jeff got to ride in the helicopter. He loved it...just look at the smile on his face. I took him into the petting zoo area and he got to feed pigs, deer, goats and some other animals carrots. He loved every minute of it and had the biggest smile on this face the entire time. Of course from the petting zoo area he saw the carousal so we took a quick ride on that, and then he rode on a car with Kyleigh, I think he liked that more! Of course we couldn't leave the fair without getting some "fair food." Jeff loved the funnel cake, and even I have to admit it was pretty darn good! It was a great night, but man I can see why we just hang around home on weeknights!

ER Trip #2

I swear my child is going to be in the ER at least once more this year! So last night I was getting Jeff all ready to go and get his hair cut. I had just changed his diaper, stood him up on the counter, reached for his shirt, and the next thing I know my little man in laying on the floor. I scooped him up and he started screaming, wouldn't calm down. I'm asking him if he's okay, my mom is telling me to call the pedi, and Amanda came by to drop off my sunglasses that I had forgotten at her house. Of course the doctor's office is freaking CLOSED and it's 4:36...they close at 4:30! So now my mom is telling me we need to go to the ER. I don't think we need to, I mean come on he'll be fine, but do I listen no, because Nick is telling me I'll be second guessing myself all night if I don't take him, so we go.

We are there 2 hours...and of course luckily we have a heathly little boy who is perfectly fine!

Another Trip to The Zoo!

Sunday we decided to take Jeff to the zoo so he could see some of the animals. It was perfect actually, we got there at 10 and no one was even there yet, but of course animals weren't out yet either! It ended up working out okay though. We did get to see most of the animals, just not right away. Jeff got to go into the petting zoo and terrorize the goats, those poor things just run away from him when he gets in there. The elephants were getting baths when we were there and Jeff really enjoyed watching that. And of course we rode the train and then we let him ride the carousel, he loves this stuff!

Giggling with Cousins

Jeff enjoyed having his cousins at the lake so much!
At lunch they were trying to get Jeff to laugh and honestly it was adorable...thought you all would enjoy!

Trying to Get Jeff to Say "Hi"

Is my child ever going to say Hi?
This is proff that even though he said it like 2 seconds before, he doesn't want to say it again.

HOT WEATHER!

It is crazy hot here! 92 today with high humidity... I hate this kind of weather, you feel like you are in a pool even when you are land! There is a couple of good things about this weather though...
1. We can go over to Hoovers' and swim in their pool! Thanks for letting us come over anytime, we really appreciate it.
2. The A/C is on in the house, which means Jeff really sleeps through pretty much anything!
3. Today the news said that last year we had 24 days over 90...good lord that was a lot...and this year we've only had 4 so far. I'll take those no problem!

Hope everyone stays cool and enjoys the weekend ahead!

Best Time To Run?

5:30 am!!!

All of this time, I've been waiting until after work to lace up my sneakers and run, but really I was completely wrong! Since it is going to be so warm the next few days, I took the oppurtunity to wake up early this morning and hit the road. It was perfect running weather, 67 degrees, a slight breeze...it was wonderful. I think I'm going to like this new time to run!

Jeff's "Toy" In The Hospital!

God love my father for putting up with his grandson...Jeff is a little monkey and wants to play with everything that he shouldn't! Look at his little "shit grin," he was like "ha, ha mom...look what I get to play with!" Luckily my dad seems to be enjoying it as much as Jeff!

Being a Monkey, Hanging Like a Monkey!

Helping The Boys

Yesterday we went out to Steph & John's for dinner. Nick went over in the early afternoon to help John get their new patio ready. Jeff loves being at Uncle John's...there is so much fun stuff to play with over there! Of course after his bath with his jammies on was the time that Uncle John thought it would be a good idea for him to go outside and "help."

Jeff "helping" Uncle John & Daddy (notice Jeff's head sticking out of the tractor)

So serious! Jeff is ready to help, just tell him where.

Zoo Trip

Yesterday I took the oppurtunity to head to the zoo and meet up with some of the Toledo nestie's and their cute little babies. It was nice to get out and meet some other mommies that I talk to almost everyday online. Amazing how big Jeff seems compared to the babies...can't believe he's 17 months old!

Jeff LOVED the goats...notice his smile ear to ear!

Dad's Hip Surgery

Well Dad's hip surgery went very well and he has even been up and walking already this morning! Amazing how quickly they get you out of bed after a hip replacement, but really I guess you need to get up and move around to get using it again.

Mom & Steph were there for the whole surgery, but I let Jeff nap before I ventured out with him. We were there from 3ish until 630 and Jeff was an angel the entire time! He even met some friends in the waiting room! Gotta love how little kids just go up and talk to anyone. We did end up going outside for a bit while we were waiting for dad to get moved into his room. Jeff always finds lots to keep him busy!

Family Get Together

Well another Freiburger reunion has just ended and I think this year was perfect...weather wise it was perfect! We had beautiful sun each day at the lake, and honestly what more could you ask for? It was nice seeing everyone, especially since we haven't all been together since Steph & John's wedding, it's amazing how much everyone can change in that time.

We arrived Friday morning and were greeted by everyone excited to see Jeff and see how big he had gotten. Of course he has changed a lot since he's walking now and babbling all of the time so it's been a big change! We almost immediately put our suits on and we were in the water the rest of the day! Nick took the kids on wave runner rides, we had lasagna for lunch, Jeff took an awesome nap, I got to lay out in the sun...it was great! I was extremely worried about the fireworks and how Jeff would sleep, especially since he's such a light sleeper, but he was great and slept right through everything.

Nick, Mack, & Markus enjoying the wave runner!

Jeff enjoying his wave runner ride too!

Jeff LOVED playing with the snorkel!

Saturday was more of the same... honestly we were outside all day long! Jeff got a boat ride from Grandma & Grandpa in the morning, but really just played with everyone throughout the day. I have some great pictures showing how much fun everyone was having...

Simon was showing Jeff the wheels from the wagon.

Nick & I were able to sneak away for our Anniversary dinner and Steph & Molly were nice enough to watch Jeff for us...thank guys!!!

Sunday was more of the same, expect today Julia, Hannah, & Max swam across Oliver Lake!!! Hannah & Julia swam there and back in 1 hour, 5 minutes...pretty darn good I would say. They must of been moving like crazy! I have more to add, but I'll do it later... enjoy the pictures!

3 Year Anniversary

Okay serisouly where on earth has the time gone? It seems like it was just yesterday when we were getting things together for our Tuesday wedding! The past three years have had their ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade any of those. It's been exciting that's for sure, we've added a new member to our family who we both LOVE more then life itself, and we've grown together. I love you more and more each day and I'm so glad that I'm able to call you my husband and my best friend.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy Birthday America!

Each year on the 4th the lake puts on a flotilla and this year my cousins wanted to participate. The used the little Sea Fisher and decked it all out, it was really cute. Molly was Lady Liberty, Simon was Uncle Sam, Hannah was the spotter just in case something happened, and Jack drove the boat around. It was so cute!!! Great job guys...
