Broken Arm

Well poor Miss Emma has a broken arm and it's been quite a whirlwind 24hrs to say the least. It all started on Tuesday when I got a phone call from Mom saying that Emma did something to her arm and she thought she needed to take her down to St. Luke's. I ran out of the office and met them there. When I arrived poor Emma was just screaming from the pain and Jeff was crying because he thought I was going to be mad at him, which I was but it wasn't the time.

It took forever to get xrays and for Emma to settle down but once she got some drugs in her she fell asleep. Turns out that she broke her humerous... We ended up having to take an ambulance ride to Toledo Hospital and that's where the real fun began. We had to be admitted there because of the break, CSB had to get involved, Emma had to have full body xrays done and also a ctscan. It was a hellish 24 hours trying to explain everything, but thankfully all went well.

We just go back from getting her tiny cast put on her arm. Luckily it will only be on for 3 weeks...I don't think I could handle any longer than that!

Miss Emma enjoying Toledo Hospital, she was such a good girl the whole time.

Waking up in her own bed. It's an adjustment trying to get use to that arm.

The cast is finally on! It's so much smaller than the splint they had on her arm.

Emma is Five Months Old!

Emma- you are FIVE months old!!!!

I'm not totally sure - but you weigh close to 15 lbs.
You wear a size 3 diaper and 6 or 9 month clothes, depending on the brand.

You take one good long nap every morning and usually a semi good nap in the afternoon.
You sleep so good at night, down by 730, then up around 5 for a bottle and then back to bed until mommy has to wake you up to leave for grandma's.

You are usually so happy! You just smile at everyone when they talk to you. You always have a big grin for your mommy & brother.

You are a MOVER! You roll everywhere on the floor. You are busy, busy, busy, you love to look around and see what's going on and you always have your eye on your brother.

You still love your bouncy seat, but I think we will be putting it away soon. The swing got put away this week, but you are loving your exersauser, and being the floor with toys!

Jeff is always on the lookout for you. If you are napping or not in sight - he will say "Where's Em?" He calls you Em or "sis" but rarely Emma.

You are pure joy! You are SO loved! I can't believe you are almost half a year old! Time is just passing by way to quickly.

Cedar Point

It was Nick & my first trip to Cedar Point together. How scary is that? We've been together 7 years now and are finally just making our way there. Anyway, Mom & Dad bought all of us tickets and so the Freiburger Crew went off for the day! Off course the day that we go was the hottest day of the summer... 96 & humid, but we all handled it well. Even Miss Emma was a trooper, she was awesome the entire day and slept where ever we could find shade.

Jeff had a blast and 3 weeks later is still talking about how much fun he had. He has his map out almost daily telling us which rides were his favorites and wondering which rides we had gone on. It's cute really...he keeps asking when we are taking him back!

Waiting in line for bumper cars.

Jeff & Daddy, ready to hit some cars!

Jeff on the kids Power Tower...he wasn't sure at first, but ended up loving it!

Hands in the air and everything.

Miss Emma trying to stay cool.

Big Helper!

Jeff is an amazing helper, I think I've said that before, but really he loves when he has a project to do! In another month my big helper will be going to preschool 5 mornings a week...where has the time gone??

I love this boy, he is the greatest kid, even if he does try my patience sometimes. Every morning he gets up and asks me "Mom, how was your sleep?" I normally respond with "It wasn't long enough Jeff," and he will just giggle. I love that he truly loves us and even if we get mad at him, two minutes later he'll want to me hold him.

Helping Mama water the flowers!

Helped pick the veggies out of the garden.
