Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday Steph Hoover called me and asked what my plans were and of course since Nick was working I had nothing to do. She told me there was a pumpkin patch up in Michigan and asked if I wanted to take Jeff and head up there. Heck yeah, we've been wanting to get him a pumpkin anyway. I made sure Nick didn't care, and off we went! Jeff LOVED every minute of it. This place is great! They have tons of different pumpkins to pick from, a train ride, corn maze, hay ride, and of course animals. We were there about an hour and had a great time!

Jeff didn't know where to start...there was just so much to see!

Jeff liked petting the cow, but the cow did NOT like him!

Look at that grin! He loved the pigs and got a big kick (literally) out of them.

Here he is giving the horse a kiss!

Walking on top of a straw maze like a big boy!

I took some video of Jeff enjoying the farm animals. He was running all over the place having a great time! I can't believe how big he is getting...just seems so old to me right now.

Helping Daddy & Grandpa!

Jeff is such a BOY! He loves to help with anything he can get his hands on. Friday night Nick was changing his headlight...well when you look at the picture my dad was changing it and Nick was just standing there, but anyway Jeff ran out the door, went and grabbed a tool from the toolbox and went the "help" the guys. It was adorable. Just another way that he's getting so much bigger!

Jeff's Polar Bear Experience

Yesterday afternoon my mom & I took Jeff to the zoo. It was such a nice day, I just couldn't pass up the oppurtunity. We didn't have much time, only an hour or so, but we saw all we needed too. The best part of the whole trip was the polar bear. It was laying right up against the glass and played with Jeff for a good 10 minutes or so, I took some video so you could see it...Enjoy!

Jeff & His Gator!!

The Dance...

Just A Great Weekend!

It was another wonderful weekend here for us! We had a nice jam packed schedule...well on Saturday morning, the rest of the time, we just relaxed and hung out! I got out of work early Friday and left around 1, which felt great. I headed to the grocery because I was adamant to cook this weekend and try not to eat out...I think I succedded pretty well! Friday night Nick didn't have to work at Dominos, so I made a nice salmon dinner. Felt great to cook! But we really took it easy Friday evening. Had a wonderful dinner, and then we took a ride out to the airport so Jeff could see airplanes. We were lucky and saw 2 airplanes coming in for a landing...Jeff LOVED every minute of it! We were all in bed early. Poor Nick and his work schedule...felt good to sleep!

Saturday morning Nick headed off to work and I got things ready to head out for the morning. Amanda was coming to the house around 9 so I had lots to do! At least Jeff was cooperative and let me get stuff done! Harrison Rally Days was happening in downtown Perrysburg and I was not going to miss it. Jeff enjoyed his first parade (you can see in the pictures below he's dancing around to the music), picking candy up off the ground, watching planes up in the sky, and being to cute for words!!! Amanda and I walked by vendors before the parade started so that was good. After the parade we made our way up to the Carter's outlet to use coupons! I got Lauren's shower gift and a few things for Jeff...I love sales! While we were up doing that, Nick went to Tiffin to get a surprise for Jeff, the Gator! And boy does Jeff enjoy it. He doesn't quite understand how to turn it yet, but I'm sure he'll get there. I made some delicous chicken tenders before Nick went into work...so much better then buying the frozen ones! Jeff & I just hung out and went to the park while Nick worked and I went to bed early...we are just the life of the party!

Jeff so proud of his new toy

Sunday was another fun filled day! Nick had to work and was exhausted so I let him sleep until 930 and Jeff helped me make breakfast. We got ready to go though because I wanted to get to the zoo one more time before it got to cold. It was so much fun! Jeff really enjoys it, and from the pictures below I'm sure you'll be able to tell. Had everyone over for dinner which was good to see everyone since I wasn't at the lake this weekend!

The sloath bear came right up to Jeff, I think it was because of the peanut butter sandwich

Tractor Ride With Grandpa!

Jeff has no idea how lucky he is...

Last night we had to cut a limb off the willow tree that fell during the storm over the weekend, so that meant that John brought his truck and tractor over...and my little boy thought he was pretty cool stuff.

I was inside with Jeff giving him a bath and getting him ready for bed when John came looking for him because he needed a tractor ride. So outside we go and tractor ride he got...he LOVED it! Grandpa and Jeff look like they are having a pretty good time together, don't they??? Of course I grabbed a shot with Jeff & Aunt Steph because I don't have a lot of pictures of the two of them, and she is his godmother for cryin' out loud!

Look at their smiles...they are two peas in a pod!

Kiss The Frog

Last night Nick & Jeff found a frog in the garden and Jeff was in LOVE with playing with the darn thing. Nick tried to get him to kiss it, and here is what Jeff did...

Michigan Stadium

Well it was the first time in I don't know how long that we've been home on a weekend and it felt great!!! So much stuff got done!! Friday night Nick had to work so Jeff & I did dinner with a good friend. Came home to having power issues, always fun...lets just say there are extension cords running from dining room to the back bedrooms, but it's getting fixed today!

Saturday, Nick worked, Jeff & I ran errands, went and had lunch at Dominos so Jeff could see Nick for a little bit, and then home to take naps! When Nick got off of work we headed to Fremont the see Ruthann at the Pines. Howie was there too so we spent some time walking around the grounds. It's really nice out there! Jeff was beyond tired when we left though, and since he didn't have a good dinner it was LOTS of fun trying to get him to eat anything remotely heathly. Nick and I came home and crashed, I think we were both a sleep before 10!

Sunday we had planned all weeked!!! Nick and I took Jeff up to Michigan so he could get his first true glimpse of The Big House!!! Of course he was excited... but the reason for that was because of all the construction equipment around there since they are adding on. After the quick look we headed to Zingerman's and Jeff had his first meal there. I love that place, I think I could eat there all the time and not get sick of it. Felt good to be up there though and walk around a bit! We just really relaxed the rest of the day and enjoyed being home, it felt great!

Park Adventure Videos

Riding & Climbing!

Sliding, Swinging & More Sliding!

Our Park Adventure!

Since Nick is working at night, I try and come up with things to do with Jeff to keep ourselves busy. Last night we ventured to the park! While it's not my favorite place to go, I figured Jeff deserved some fun...he asks to go every time we drive by! But I decided to take my camera with me to take video and capture some great shots!!!

Figured Jeff & I needed a picture together!

Getting so big!

Maybe a smile...he's my little man...I just love him to pieces!!!

Lucky Little Man!!!

Jeff has an Uncle John who spoils him more then I can put into words. And he doesn't buy him things, it's the rides he gets on Uncle Johns equipment that makes him the apple of Jeff's eye! It's so bad, that when we drive down the road by Steph & Johns, Jeff is whining and pointing to where their house it. Honestly it's really sweet, but I can only imagine what will happen when future children come around, I don't think Jeff will like sharing the attention.

Last night for example John as Jeff is he wanted to go see the airplanes and Jeff got so excited and John couldn't go fast enough. John took him back to the fence so they could see the airport...Jeff was in his glory!!!
Jeff getting a 4-wheeler ride...going to check out the airplanes!

If you could see the grin on his face you'd know how much he loved it.

Another Great Weekend!

Honestly, I couldn't even tell you the last time I had a horrible weekend, this summer has just been fantastic! Lots of activities and enjoying the lake, what could be better? Anyway, this weekend was just like any other.

Friday night Jeff & I rode up with my parents since Nick had to work Friday and Saturday. It was actually a decent ride, Jeff is spoiled enjoying Grandpa's DVD player in the car, he just looks up and points whenever we get in. But we enjoyed the evening at the lake. Mom & Dad had dinner out so it was just Jeff & me. I ordered pizza, Jeff got a bath and went to bed, and of course I enjoyed laying on the couch watching a movie. It felt good to be by myself for awhile.

Saturday we woke up early and spent some time snuggling on the couch. I love when Jeff first wakes up because he loves to cuddle with you. Dad told me he was going over to John & Mary's so I got the bright idea that I could run over there and then dad could bring me home, so off we went. Dad dropped me off at the Olin lake park and I ran to John & Mary's, it was 3 miles exactly. I tell you what I get spoiled running to one point and then turning around and running back, running from point a to b to finish your run stinks. It seems to just go on forever! Us girls were going to head into Shippshe, but then the guys decided they wanted to go. We got there and Mom suggested that we go to Middlebury and have lunch at the Escense House...it was awesome, lots of good homemade Amish food. It was nice to do something different for a change at the lake. We stopped at some places on the way home, and Jeff had a first, he fell asleep in the car on the way home...he's only done this twice since we turned his forward so you know he had to be tired. But anyway we spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out, sleeping, taking a boat ride, and enjoying the beautiful day.

Nick arrived late Saturday and honestly I don't even really remember him getting there, I know I was up, but I was ready for bed! Sunday was a lounge and relax day. We had breakfast, then went over the Aunt Chrissy's & Uncle Matt to see their place, took a nice boat ride, then back to our cottage so Jeff could nap. It felt great to not have a schedule!

The weekend was low key, just the way we like them! It's getting to be the perfect season at the lake, and you can tell it's not prime time up there anymore, hardly any boats are on the water. I smell fall coming soon...

Jeff sleeping in the car!!!! Memorize this picture, cause who knows when you'll see it again!

Enjoying the water

He's on a mission for something, I just like the look on his face.

Jeff Enjoying the Slide!

Fulton County Fair

On Monday night on our way home from the lake we stopped by the fair, it was right on our way so we figured, why not, we knew Jeff would enjoy it. We had a blast! Amazing how having a 19 month old with you will do. We saw the rabbits and chickens, the cattle, the goats, a petting zoo, and more...Jeff loved every minute of it! He would point and squeal with delight as we walked by the animals. I got the great idea that we should try and win him a fish from the fair, no big deal, it's just a figh right? Weong! Nick won the fist on the first try...yay for daddy getting Jeff a fish, but we really didn't think it through. When we left the fair we had to go to Wal-Mart and get Jeff a fish tank, fish food, and of course more fish. I'll get a picture of them and put them up here for you to see at some point, but Jeff is every excited about his fish, he really likes them. We named them Digger, Wally, and Fulton...fitting right?

New Words!

Jeff says "hot" and he has "john"...aren't those some strange first words? It's really cute though, whenever you put food on his tray he looks at you and says, hot? Then of course he LOVES his Uncle John, so no surprise that he is saying that now, but come on Jeff, how about saying mom or dad!!!

Long Weekend = End of Summer

The summer is over, well not technically over, but in my eyes it is. The lake was bustling this weekend, boats and waverunners all over, family get togethers...people enjoying the last little bit of summer. Yesterday you saw people taking out their boats and docks...it's always a sad time. But at the same time I just try and remember that in 9 short months it will be Memorial Day and the lake season will just be beginning!

Oh where should I even start, we had a fun filled weekend for sure!!!! Nick had to work Friday and Saturday night, so Jeff & I headed up to the lake with Mom & Dad. Steph & John arrived shortly their after, with all of the new mattress on the trailor...thus the adventures of Friday night begin! Mom & Dad were at dinner, so it was John, Steph, & me...along with baby Jeff...need I say more? We started moving around 830 and finished around 11! We had some great laughs, and we sweated a lot, but now we have no more full size beds at the lake...mom & dad have a king, Steph & John have a king, Nick & I have a queen, and then the guest room downstairs has a queen too. It was wonderful getting it all put together, and Jeff was really good too. He spent some time helping Uncle John, as Steph & I were hulling mattresses out!

Saturday was just a picture, perfect day! Besides my son being awake for 3 hours in the middle of the night, everything turned out okay. Jeff got to take a boat ride with Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Teppie, so I snuck off and went running by myself, which was great. By the time I got back, the guys already had mattresses loaded on John's truck and were headed to the dump, and Steph was getting ready to lay Jeff down for a nap. Alexanders were coming up by 12, so us girls took off into town so we could get some finishing touches for our beds...it was fun. By the time we got back, we had lunch and sat around and gabbed with everyone for a long time. It was great to catch up with Ben, since he is just getting home from New Zealand, it's fun to listen to him talk, since he's caught some of "their" lingo. Saturday night was a blast! Our next door neighboor puts on a concert for everyone in our section. It's great to talk to everyone and listen to music...great times!!!!! Even Jeff was dancing all over the place, he LOVED it! Oh and FYI...Jeff says "John!" He said it all Saturday morning, but really hasn't said it to much since.

Uncle John, Jeff (grabbing sunglasses), & Aunt Steph at the concert!

Jeff pointing and showing me Uncle John's truck!

Jeff checking out his football...

I LOVED this picture of him...he was just sitting nicely

Was being goofy with his ball...not sure what he was trying to accomplish

Let's see we had big news on Sunday...Jeff slept in his bed all night Saturday!!!! This is a huge accomplishment because normally he'll wake up in the middle of the night, when we are at the lake, and want to come in my bed. It was so nice to sleep by myself! But anyway, we got up and went running while everyone else was at church. Felt great to run off all of the alcohol I drank the night before!!!! Nick got to the lake around 10:30, Jeff was so cute running to Nick, you could tell that his missed his playmate! Ray & Rosie also came for a visit, so it was nice they were able to see Jeff show his "true" colors. Other then that we spent Sunday relaxing and hanging out in the water. It was great!!!

I LOVED this picture I took...he looks so serious and like he's on a mission.
