Still Catching Up...

Seriously I'm really behind on the blog! This is why I like to blog every other day so I can keep up with everything going on. So we are back to work since it's Monday! Gross, I hate Mondays, knowing I have to crawl out of my comfy bed to get into work by 730 just sucks, I mean it really sucks. But whatever, dealing with it is what all of us have to do, right? So lets see, okay Jeff still has his rash on his belly and groin area, I call the doctors and they tell me to stop his prescription because he's having an allergic reaction to it...awesome! (*Notice the scarasm there...) Now it's just something else we have to worry about when he needs a prescription filled! Steph & John came over Monday night and we mulched the front yard for mom. It looks so nice having it all done.

Tuesday, just more of the same really. Expect today Nick's brother Howard came up and is spending some time at the house while he is working in Toledo this week. It's nice having him here and letting him spend some time with Jeff. Also we need to give a big congrats to Howard & Lauren...they are expecting a new little bundle of joy sometime in mid-late January!!! Congrats you guys... Nick & Howard went to Bar Louie, for $1 burger night, and I just stayed at the house and hung out with Jeff. Easier then taking him to a restaurant sometimes!

Wednesday, we are just really getting ready to go on vacation. I went to the 2nd hand store and got Jeff a couple of sweat shirts and some jeans today. But while I was there I found a baby stroller for him and also a new swing for the lake. I LOVE getting stuff from there. There is awesome deals there...go look if you haven't been. I took the Explorer in and now it's ready for the trip...tires rotated, oil changed, and new wiper blades on the car...it's a good feeling to have that done.

Alright...I'm caught up now!!! Thank goodness. We head out Friday on vacation, but my laptop will be with me, so I'll be updating the blog I'm sure.

Continued Catching Up...

Okay I promised Monday that I would finish updating, but I haven't had time all week since we are getting ready for vacation. So, lets see, where was I? Oh yeah...so Friday Jeff woke up and he still has a fever. I call the doctors and they try and tell me that I can't be seen. Well BS I can't be seen, my son isn't really eating or drinking, still has a fever and I got about 3 hours of sleep the night before, something is wrong, now get me in! I take him in and I see a doctor that I can't stand. He has no bed side manner and frankly is just rude! He's checking Jeff out, now when he goes to look at his throat he doesn't use a tongue dispresser...oh no, he has me squeze Jeff's cheeks together and put my finger on his tongue. He then says, it looks like strep, and writes me a prescription without running the strep test! Whatever, if you think he has this, fine, just get me out of here. Friday night Nick & I had the house to ourselves for the weekend, so we went out and got a pizza from Vito's, who has the best pizza in town, and I seriously crashed so early...
Saturday, I didn't wake up until 8:45...holy cow it felt good to sleep. Of course Jeff woke up at 5:30 and was screaming, just screaming. I couldn't do anything for him, and he didn't know what the hell he wanted. I finally got him to eat a couple bites of something and he went back to bed at 6:45. Poor little man, just doesn't feel good. When he wakes up though, I'm concerned because he just really hasn't drank to much. I call the doctors and they tell me I should take him to the ER if I'm that concerned! Nick & I are debating on what to do, and finally we are like, we will just try to get him to drink like crazy and see if that helps. In the meantime the guys have arrived to work on mom & dads bathroom, so they are here making a bunch of noise and Nick & I are trying to get ready to head up to the mall because the Toledo Fire Department, Police, etc are going to be there with their vehicles and we figured Jeff would LOVE that. We got there and he fell in LOVE with a horse. The horse and Jeff were best friends, giving each other kisses, rubbing heads. I was a little digusted with the germ factor, but it was adorable! Saturday night we went to the Family Night put on at St. Joe's. Everything was free! We had hotdogs and chili for dinner and then they were serving ice-cream and John and Nick did some game thing...it was rather cute really... Doesn't it look like they were having so much fun???
Sunday was another day! We got the pleasure of going to Audrey's bapitismal party. It was so nice to go there and see everyone I haven't seen in such a long time. Plus to be invited to share in that special day with them. It was so much fun to go and catch up with everyone and Jeff was actually a good boy the whole time...it was a lot of fun. Thanks Amanda and Justin for letting us share this day with you.

Catching Up...

I cannot believe I haven't blogged in an entire week. I was busy last week, but that's really not an excuse. So let's see, where do I even begin...

Monday I took Jeff to the doctors for his tube check, everything is good and where it should be so I don't have to take him back until November, that's a nice feeling for sure. I got my hair trimmed Monday evening, feels so much better. Plus since Jody doesn't see me all the time, she can notice that I'm loosing weight, which is even nicer. Steph Hoover came over and we did turbo kick. I tell you what, that kicks my butt big time! I was sore for a couple of days after, but man it's a good sore. I love knowing that you get a good workout in.

Tuesday, nothing to much happened. Jeff got to help Uncle John mow the yard, and had the biggest grin on his face the whole time. Steph came over again and she and I attempted turbo kick, but were to sore from the day before. The best part was going to the Pharm and getting the great deals on makeup...50% off...you can't beat that. At 8'oclock we went out and helped mom & dad plant the garden. It was nice to get that done for them.

Wednesday, was a bum day really.

Thursday, Jeff woke up with a fever, I left work around 11 so I could head home and take care of him. Dick & Cathy came in from New York, so nice to spend time with them. I ended up calling off work Thursday night because Jeff still had a fever and I needed to take him to the doctor's Friday morning. I was up a ton with him Thursday night! I think I got about 4 hours of sleep, and that's if I'm really lucky.

Okay I'll post more tomorrow or later on tonight...

Mother's Day

I woke up this morning with the biggest smile on my face, realizing how lucky I am to have Jeff in my life. Even though Jeff was not planned, I would not change having him in my life for anything, I find myself wondering what I ever did with all of my "Me Time" before he was born. When I went in to get Jeff up this morning, he had the biggest smile on his face, I picked him up out of the crib and he snuggled his head right on my shoulder and just rubbed my back, it's just melts your heart.

Today was great! We all went to 7am mass together and then out for breakfast. Jeff was a perfect angel and actually let me sit in the pew the whole time...normally we have to go and stand in the back after about 35 minutes or so. Came home, Jeff went to bed, Nick left to go to Tiffin and I just hung out and relaxed. Didn't worry about working out or anything, although I should of, but it was nice to enjoy some quiet. When Jeff woke up, we went to Sam's and picked up the cake for the party and then we went to Dick's so I could exchange my Mother's Day gift for a different size. Jeff and Nick were really good to me, I got a pair of Under Armor shoes...I needed a new pair of shoes to run in, so it was perfect! I got Jeff to take another nap in the afternoon, Nick came home, and then I left for John & Steph's with mom and dad.

We had a Mother's Day party for Hoover's/Freiburger's out there today and it was perfect. Our mom's enjoyed themselves which was the most important! All in all it was a great Mother's Day! Now I just have to start thinking about Nick's Father's Day...should be fun!

Thinking He's Pretty Lucky...

Jeff is such a lucky little boy...too bad he doesn't understand that yet, but hopefully he will as he gets older. Anyway, back to why he is so lucky.... this child is loved by so many people, and in this post I'm talking about Uncle John. Jeff LOVES anything with wheels and extremely excited about whatever it might be. Well when Uncle John pulls in the drive way to mow the yard, Jeff can hardly contain the excitement. Luckily John is nice enough to let him ride along as he mows the yard. Do you see the grin on Jeff's face? He is so excited to be "helping." Thanks for always being so good to him John!

Enjoying The Outdoors!

Jeff LOVES to be outdoors, in fact if he isn't outside he will through a complete fit (screaming, stomping his feet, etc) until he gets to go outside. The lake was interesting...he loved being in the swing. As soon as he woke up from his nap he would go to the door and look outside, point and whine until we took him out...should be a nice LONG summer!

Pier is in, Summer is near

Well the pier is put in the lake, which is a great feeling. This means summer is just around the corner and we'll be heading up to the lake more often! It was such a nice day outside too...couldn't ask for anything better! Dad, John, & Nick were in the water putting the pier together & Steph & I were on land bringing all of the pieces to them. Steph & I decided that we had the worst job ...ours is all manual labor, we have to carry out everything, and it's heavy! The guys told us that was part of their "Master Plan"!!!

The Process Begins...

It's Getting There...(notice the guys standing while Steph is bring them something)

Completed...Let Summer Begin!

Doesn't it just look like it was an awesome day up there? Anxious to get back up there next weekend!

Happy Friday

It's Friday!!!! I'm so glad that it's Friday and not Tuesday. This has been a great week. First my boss was out recovering from surgery...yeah for no lectures, second, the weather has been awesome, well expect for this thunderstorm we are getting right now. Jeff is long longer taking bottles, which is a great accomplishment, one that I was really dreading, but turned out to be eaiser then I thought it would. Nick got his fire test under his belt, now we just have to pray that he gets in. And I'm down to 153.5 lbs...I can't believe and I'm glad I'm working this hard to get to this point.

Car Fixed - Checked

We took the plunge and got the Explorer fixed...$960.62 dollars later that is. It sucks having to fork out that kind of money, but hopefully that car is fixed for awhile now. It feels good to have it done though, and it's so quite when you drive it, a nice feeling!

Next on the list, getting the A/C fixed in the Stratus...car expenses are just so much fun!

Vacation Planned

Well we finally figured out what we are going to do for our family vacation....yeah!!! We are heading to Atlanta over Memorial Day weekend to hang out with the Harter Family. WE are really looking forward to seeing them and getting to spend some time without any other family around.

I'm sure they are going to plan lots of good stuff for us to do. Plus we'll be done there during Lisa's birthday...should be interesting right?

Already May

It's hard to believe that the month of May has already begun...it seems like we were just starting the month of April. April brought us warm days, playing outside, taking walks (long walks), enjoying time together with family, but mostly it got us out of that winter funck and ready for spring/summer!

I'm so glad that today is May!!! For one, at the end of the month it's my birthday, and even though I really don't care about it, I'll be 25 which is a nice number. We get to start going to the lake more, but more importantly we are taking our first official family vacation since having Jeff. We are making the trip to GA to visit Nick's sister and her family. I'm not looking forward to the drive, but it will be great to get to spend some time with them. The only thing that sucks about it is that we have to drive with our child who doesn't do well driving...it should be interesting to say the least.

That's our May though...I'm sure it will be full of lots of adventures!
