Being Goofy!

I was taking Jeff's picture and he said "cheese" I tried to get him to do it again, but it was a lost cause. He did however enjoy screaming at the camera!

Full Weekend Fun!

Oh my goodness, for being a "relaxing" weekend it was jammed packed! Friday night I wanted to take Jeff trick-or-treating at Levis, but decided not to since it was rainy and gross, and he was still under the weather. Instead we got some take out and went home to enjoy the eveing...it felt great!

Saturday we were up early and out of the house to get errands done. Nick called me while he was on his errand to tell me he was going down to see his brother, so that just left Jeff & myself to get things done! We had to run all over: Kohl's, Target, Michael's, Wal-Mart, Library...but it all got done in the nick of time! I even was able to finish up Lauren's shower gift which felt great. Anyway, we came home and started baking the pumpkin cookies for the Halloween party. Jeff loves to sit on the bar stool and help pour the ingridents and watch the mixer spin! After we ate some batter and baked the cookies, Jeff took a nap and I got to work on my stuffed mushrooms... I just LOVE making those things! I think I got a nap in, but I don't even remember. Nick got home sometime, then we got things together for the party!

Everyone arrived around 6 and we had a blast! Of course Jeff soaked up all the attention from everyone, but it felt good to see everybody. It makes me feel old though because all of the kids are getting so big. Some of them my mom started watching when I was in kindergarden...see, old feeling! We had so much fun, laughing and telling stories. Jeff went to bed at his normal time and just screamed...no one wanted to hear him, so I got him up and you should of seen the grin he gave everyone when he got to get up! It was like "Haha Mom...I won!" I went to bed around 10 so I could get up for the race the next day, but everyone else stayed until after 11!

Sunday morning Steph Hoover & I ran in the Red Ribbon Run at Levis Commons. I was so excited because it was the first race I had done in years. We figured we wouldn't come in with a great time, but it was the point we were doing it. Kelly, Steph, John, Mom, Nick, & Jeff all came out to cheer us on! They were stationed at different points along the race, which was great so we could have some support as we went along. It was freezing! Anyone, we both did better then expected!!! I ran the 5K in 27:43 and Steph ran it in 28:11...considering we thought it would take us about 40 minutes we were extremely happy with our times!!! Go Us!!!

The rest of the day the guys were at John & Steph's sighting in the new gun. I took Jeff out for a little bit, but of course it was close to nap time so we headed home. I got to take a 2 hour nap and it felt great! The guys got home later on in the afternoon, we cooked chicken on the grill and just sat around. Felt good to be together!

New Doctor!

I'm so sick of Jeff being sick and not being able to get him into his actual doctor. Of course it would help if she worked better hours, but oh well. The final straw came yesterday when I took him in after being up for almost 3 hours the night before. I couldn't get in to his doctor, so I have to see a different doctor, and of course I get the one that I can't stand. But whatever, he needs to go so I take him in.

I tell the nurse all of his symptoms, doctor comes in..."Well what seems to be the problem today?" So then I have to tell him that he's all congested and nothing is draining out. I'm not if he has a sinus infection, but something is not right. He tells Jeff to open his mouth...AUFKM, he's not even 2, he won't open his mouth! He doesn't even bed down to look in and says "I don't see anything wrong in there." He looks in his ears, listens to chest/back...everything is sounds fine, good news. He then tells me "Well he seems just fine to me." No he's not fine, he's full in his head, and you would know this if you actually looked up his nose. Since "nothing" is wrong with him, I ask what I can give him over the counter to help clear him out. "He can't have anything over the counter." I understand that, but give me something and tell me the dose I can give him, I need to sleep so I can function at work, and he needs to sleep so he can feel better. After about 5 minutes of him saying "Well I can't give you anything, etc" He finally gives me a script!

I go to Target and talk to the pharmacist and they show me the over the counter drug I can give him and give me a syringe so he can get the proper amount! Thank You...

After this I was fed up and done! So as of today we now have a new pediatrician. I'm sad to leave the other place because I really like the doctor, but it wasn't working anymore.

Go Jaclyn!

Last night Mom & I went up to Whiteford to watch Jaclyn play in her volleyball match. The team didn't win, but Jaclyn had some great serves and hits...more then I could do for sure! Jeff enjoyed sitting there, for about 5 minutes anyway, and watching the girls play. I think he liked Neil sitting next to him and the popcorn better though!

Pumpkin Patch & Vistors!

The weekend was great, yet again! And for not having to much planned, it somehow filled up rather quickly. Friday night we decided to head out and celebrate Nick's promotion at work! We went to Granite City and ordered whatever we wanted, which NEVER happens. Jeff was a perfect angel at dinner, and of course LOVED his balloon at the end! Since Nick had been working so many hours, he headed off the bed at 7:30...yes you heard that right, 7:30! Jeff of course went to bed, soon there after so I was on my own. Felt good to have some quiet time to myself.

Saturday I had to wake Jeff around 7:50, since he had been awake in the middle of the night...not sure what is up with this, but I got him ready to go get his flu shot. Mom came with me to do that, then we ran a few errands, nothing to special. Amanda ending up calling me and we decided to head out early in the morning to go to the pumpkin patch. We had such a great time! It was nice going with someone other then just the 3 of us. Plus little A is adorable, so who wouldn't want to hang out with the C Family for ahwile! Jeff couldn't stand very well and kept falling over, but I just told him, "He was fine and he if he's going to go hunting with the guys, then he needs to get used to this stuff!" We picked out our pumpkins, then Jeff and I walked to the front of the farm so he could see the animals. We all decided we could use a bite to eat, so off to Skeeter's. It was a quick bite to eat then Jeff needed to go home and take a nap. Nick went out to John and Steph's to shoot the gun with the men, and I took a nap, felt great! We had Zach that night, which was nice. We went to Fricker's and had dinner, then home where the boys played video games to lord only knows what time! Nick enjoys hanging out with Zach. When Zach leaves, he always tells me he can't wait for Jeff to be that big...I can!

Jeff enjoying picking his own pumpkin...okay he's just walking around!

The Daddies & Babies... Jeff doesn't sit still, so this was the only way to get his picture. Isn't Miss A's smile adorable?

He's getting so big!

Sunday was another beautiful day in Toledo! Nick & I decided to leave Jeff home with my parents while we went to church ALONE...it was the first time in I can't tell you how long, that I actually heard the homily, and got to kneel. It felt great! And then when we got home, he was taking a morning nap...GO MOM! Later on in the morning Anne & Gene arrived and it was great to see them. We haven't seen them since the lake this summer. I was disappointed that the kids weren't with them, but none the less, it was nice to catch up, and then enjoyed their weekend away! We spent some time at John and Steph's, had a big Thanksgiving dinner, enjoyed LOTS of laughs, but it just felt great to see them. It stinks that we won't see them again until next summer!

Starting To Jibber More

Jeff is still not talking yet, and that's fine, he'll talk when he's ready, BUT yesterday he really started trying to talk, and is "talking" all the time! I'm so excited, I hope this means that he will start using words soon because it would make communication that much easier. Jibbering is one step in the right direction though!!! Last night Uncle John asked him a question and Jeff said "yup," he also said "Elmo" or what sounded like that when he wanted to watch him yesterday. He is getting bigger everyday!

First Black Eye

You would think I'd have a picture to share with you, but I don't...not yet anyway, maybe I'll get that done tonight. Anyway, I got a phone call from mom on Tuesday morning saying Jeff fell and hit his eye, but he didn't need stitches. However later that night when I took him to Church Hills to get a few things, his eye was turning black and blue...poor little guy! Well, the good news is it won't be his last!

Airport & Airplanes = 1 Happy Little Boy!

Jeff LOVES airplanes...it's not a new happening, but something that has been going on for months. Whenever the jets fly over the house, his face still lights up the same way as it did on day one. Nick & I recently started driving back into the airport so he could get an upclose look at them. Yesterday I decided to take him back to kill some time, and Barack Obama's plane was sitting there. I parked the car and let him get out and explore. He was so excited, I'm glad he was able to experience this, it was really a once in a lifetime thing!

Boat Rides & Fun!

The weekend was great for boat rides and having fun outdoors! I took a bunch of video this weekend for all to enjoy.

Summer Is Really Over??!!

Well every year the dock goes in, but it also has to come out! It's always so exciting when we put it in, you know summer is right around the corner, but taking it out is always a little sad, it's the end of summer which means winter is coming! We decided a couple of weeks ago that October 12 would be the day that everything came out, it's really the only date that worked with our schedules. The past few weekends had been gorgeous so we figured when the dock came out it would be rainy or really cold... boy we wrong! We picked the best weekend to take out the dock... it was gorgeous and perfect!

We were suppose to head up Friday night, but dad had to end up working Saturday morning, which was fine. I was kind of glad really because that way Nick could spend time with Jeff since he was going to the Michigan game Saturday. Anyway we went to Cold Keg for dinner Friday night with mom & dad, it was crowded but as always the food was great! After dinner we drove around the airport so Jeff could see all of the planes, he is so much fun to watch since he gets so excited!

Saturday morning Nick left bright and early for the U of M game, he was so excited, like a little kid on Christmas morning. The rest of us all got ready for our day! Steph & John came over early so John could spray the yard, after they left mom & I ran our couple of errands, then we came home and waited for dad to grace us with his presence! Dad got home at 11:30, we quickly loaded the car, then out to Steph & John's we went...Jeff was excited to see them, and the guys got into John's truck so they could head to Mongo and shot dad's new gun he got, and us girls were off to the lake! Jeff was an angel the entire car ride, thank goodness because he was exhausted and I wasn't sure how it would go, but it was fine. After we got to the lake, I let Jeff play for awhile, then he took a nap, I went running, and by the time I was done dad and John were there. When Jeff woke up John & Steph took him to get the power washer over at Julia & Vic's, while dad and I took out the Sea Fisher. Of course I'm sitting and waiting on dad...10 minutes later he's still not in the chanel, turns out the boat ran out of gas. I jumped in the whaler and went to rescue him...the joys of taking stuff out! After we were done though, we all took a nice boat ride. The leaves are beautiful and starting to change colors, it felt great to be on the lake, that's for sure!
The beautiful trees changing color!

Steph, John, & Jeff on the boat ride!

Jeff with Uncle John...Jeff loves him!

Jeff helping John start the fire.

Sunday we got up and went to church, then came back and had breakfast. The fun started early! All of the boys helped take the boat out of the water... Jeff got to ride with Grandpa in the boat and Nick and John took the trailer over the boat launch. Jeff was so excited to go with Grandpa in the boat... then he got to ride back in the boat after it was out of the water...he doesn't even know how good he has it! Dad powerwashed the boat, while us kids took the pier out of the water. It's so nice having the guys around to help do things! Jeff enjoyed playing in the sand and helping...it was so much fun!

Jeff enjoying his very first boat ride with just him & Grandpa!

Look at that smile... you think he was excited?

Mommy & Jeff

We were lucky the day was so nice! Jeff was able to enjoy one last play in the sandbox and water for the season and we were able to get our work done...it felt great! Looking forward to next summer...but then my baby will be !
Looking up at Uncle John!

Daddy was throwing him up in the air...Jeff LOVED it!

The lake was so peaceful!

He's just getting so big.

Jeff's Music Class & Story Time

Well last Tuesday night Nick and I took Jeff to a Music Together class and he was horrible...so horrible I was really embarrassed that he was mine. We left there assuming he was to little to take the class. The next morning I was talking to mom and she thought it was the time of night causing the problem, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized she was right! Jeff is never well behaved around 6...he starts to unwind and go crazy around this time. So I signed him up for the Wednesday morning class. I took him this week and he was great! He enjoyed dancing and playing musical instruments and meeting other kids. I'm so glad I ended up taking him back!

Jeff is also going to storytime on Thursday mornings. Mom takes him for me since I'm at work, but Jeff loves the interaction. Mom says he sits and listens to the stories so nicely and he does great, which is good to hear. I'm looking forward to taking him myself one of these days!

Thoughts & Prayers

I know this blog is suppose to be about our life, but right now I can't help but to think of a family going through a terrible time right now. I have followed their blog for months so encouraged by their faith in God. Stacy and her husband Spencer knew from the end of April that their baby would probably not make it after he was born, but they chose to continue on with the pregnancy anyway, no questions asked. Today was Isaac's birthday, a very bittersweet day for everyone. Isaac was born and lived for 16 minutes before he went to heaven. I'm so glad they were given time with him, which is what they wanted, so they were able to tell him how much he meant to the both of them, but my heart breaks for them right now. No parent should have to go through what they are going through. I wish they were able to have more time with their son, but if we need to find the good in this, then at least we all know that they will have a wonderful guardian angel watching over them.

Who Knew I Could Love Someone So Much?

When I first found out I was pregnant, I wasn't that excited. When we went for our first ultrasound I wasn't relieved when I saw the heartbeat. I was never truly excited about being pregnant and loosing my figure... I wasn't sure what I was, the only thing I knew, was that I was going to become a mother.

It wasn't until Jeff was born that I felt the greatest love towards him, a love that I could no way describe to anyone today, but it's a love that can never be broken. I love Jeff with all of my heart, I would do anything for him, and I cannot imagine him not being apart of my life. I thank God everyday for my wonderful little man, for his smile that lights up his face whenever I walk in the door, for the scream he lets out when I close the door at night, for the body the throws on the floor when he doesn't get his way, for the boy laying in bed with me at 6:30 watching Elmo because someone woke up a little to early that day. I love Jeff flaws and all, and even when I don't understand how I can't get enough of him, I know that he is my greatest gift of all. I'm so glad that he's mine and I get to watch this amazing person grow up, but he needs to not get so big so fast.

Weekend Fun!

Seriously, where does the time even go? It seems like Firday takes forever to roll around, and then before you know it, it's Monday again! It was another good weekend for the Stultz family... Nick wasn't around a whole lot, he did the football thing this weekend, but Jeff & I sure had a great time together.

Let's see Friday Aunt Chrissy came over to hang out with mom for a bit. It was nice to see her and visit, even it was only for a little bit. Friday evening Nick headed down to Tiffin to go to some football games with his head, so Jeff & I went and did a little shopping... I LOVE shopping! We hit The Loft, and Kohl's, I just picked up a few things for myself, and Jeff got a couple of new books. It was a quiet Friday evening actually...we really didn't do a whole lot!

Saturday morning Nick had to work, so Jeff, Steph, & I took him breakfast before we headed to the downtown Toledo library. That place is amazing and truthfully I'll probably be going down there quite a bit with Jeff. The children's section is amazing, tons for Jeff to do, and the shelves of books blew me away... I didn't even know where to begin! We hit the grocery store...it's insane to shop on Saturday morning, but got the fixings I needed for cooking that afternoon. Nick got home from work and let me know he was going up to U of M to watch Michigan play with Kyleigh... I wasn't happy that he was going to be gone the rest of the day, but oh well, his loss not mine. Jeff took a wonderful nap, I cooked, I got a nap in, and when he woke up we headed out to Steph & John's to have dinner and a bon fire! We had a great time!!! Jeff loves helping Uncle John around there... thanks for having us out guys!
Jeff & Aunt Steph hanging by the fire!

Jeff was having so much fun playing in the straw!

Sunday morning we woke up and went to church. Was glad we went but man Jeff does not understand he needs to be quiet and good for an hour! St. Joe's needs to build a cry room, or we won't be going to church to much with him!! He was tired though, I'll give him that. I put him down for an early nap and woke him at 1:30 so we could go to MacQueens...do you think I got any pictures of that...of course not, but that's okay. We went there with John and Steph. It was so crowded... I couldn't believe it, well I could, but I just never get used to it! After the festivel we went up to Notre Dame so some of the nuns could meet Jeff. A couple of them had my dad in school and wanted to meet his name sake. Jeff of course was wild and crazy and wanted to run around and burn off energy. Nick & I decided to head back up to the pumpkin place so Jeff could be outside for awhile... I'm glad Nick wanted to go because it's really nice up there. Jeff enjoyed the animals, looking at the tractors, running around, and of course the tractor ride with mom!

Jeff was feeding the horse one piece of corn at a time!

Loving the ducks and turkey... how could you not melt at that smile?

Daddy watching as Jeff was deciding what pumpkin he wanted!

Mommy & Jeff on the pumpkin ride... the thing spun in circles... I was not happy when it was done, I thought I was going to be sick, Jeff LOVED it though!

Happy Fall!

It was so nice to be outside and enjoy the wonderful fall day! I can't believe Jeff is 20 months... last year when we got pumpkins, he was 8 months! Where does the time go? I love my little man though...he always brings a smile to my face!

Getting So Big!

Jeff is getting so big! Everyday he changes. Last week I started writing down different things that I noticed he has started to do. It's amazing at how quickly things add up! I wanted to write them down so I don't forget, but also so I know at what age he did different things.

~Sitting at the bar stool to eat your snacks/lunch - grandma puts you up there and you LOVE to sit like a big boy. You get this grin on your face and I know you think that your pretty hot stuff!
~Laying on mom and dad's bed to watch Elmo - you actually will lay pretty still for 20 minutes and watch Elmo's Wild Animals...you love this video. If we would let you I think you'd watch it all day long!
~Know how to get off of the bed! - Daddy taught you how to climb off the bed, which is really nice that you are able to get down when you want.
~Fold your hands to Pray - when we sit down for dinner you fold your hands together and remind all us of that we need to pray. But then you want to hold our hands instead of folding yours. It's the sweetest thing really. Grandma took you to church to sit the other day and you were so good for you. You were quiet in the pew for a few minutes, you said a prayer, and you dipped your hands in the holy water.
~Getting more attached to your blankie's - these blue blankets of yours go everywhere with us. The only time you don't have them by you is when we are outside or when you are sitting in your high chair. Otherwise it's fair game and you probably are dragging them around.
~Jabbering up a storm - even though you really aren't talking to much yet, you are trying so hard. You are consistantly pointing to things and trying to get words out.
~You tell us which way to go when we are driving! - Yes that's right, you actually point out the window and tell us which way you want to go and if we don't go that way you get upset!
~You know where certain places are - Jeff you have an amazing memory! You know what places we eat at, where we play, where mommy gets her daily fountain pop...it's amazes me really. Daddy things we eat out all the time when he's not around since you know all of this stuff!
~Peddle your cars - 2 weeks ago you would not of even tried, but now you get in your cars and you peddle away.
~Use a big boy cup to drink your milk - Mommy got you a new cup the other day and ever since you've been drinking your milk out of it. I'm so happy because it's been hard to get you to drink your milk. The only problem is you like to stick you utensils in it and swish it around!
