Grandme & Papa are Home

And little Jeff couldn't be more excited!!!

Mom & Dad stopped by tonight quickly to pick up the dogs...thank goodness they are gone! I didn't mind helping out, but 8 days with 2 chocolate labs in our tiny house is enough to drive anyone crazy. Anyway, when Mom & Dad pulled in the driveway, I told Jeff to look out the window and he had the biggest grin on his face...he was so excited. He ran right to the door saying "Grandme's here, Grandme's here..." I think Mom was just as excited to see him too!

StoryTime Live!!!

Last night Jeff & I went to see Nick Jr.'s Storytime Live and oh my goodness, he LOVED every minute of it. It was so much fun watching him get excited as each of the shows would begin. He's getting so big, and it was amazing how different this was compared to Elmo last year. I'm so glad we spent the money and took him.

Quiet Weekend

It was another rare occurance here in the Stultz house...we really had no plans for the weekend and it was great. Amazing how different your life can be when parents are out of town.

Friday night I had a Mom's Night out and the boys went out to Amanda's to hang with Justin & Audrey. It was nice to go and meet some new girls and here about their problems too. Makes you feel better knowing you aren't the only one trying to juggle so many different things. I completely lost track of time and Nick texted me at 930 and asked where I was...Jeff needed to go to bed...oops...oh well, he survived!

We were up early Saturday morning, thanks to the dogs, but that was okay, we had to get ready for our last swim lesson! I can't wait for him to go to the next level, he is more than ready and that also means that mom doesn't have to get in the water anymore!!! Other than that, we took the dogs out to Steph & Johns so they could run and play with Alvin, then we went to church. New thing...let Jeff not nap then sleep during mass, amazing that he fell asleep and slept through it, but it was a nice treat. After mass we can home and just relaxed the rest of the night, it was nice. We wanted to go out but didn't have a babysitter...to bad everyone was busy...oh well, maybe next time.

Sunday, Nick's parents came up for the Spaghetti dinner and we visited with them for awhile, that was nice to see them and catch up. We spent sometime outside playing in the snow, always a favorite of Jeffs! Nick & I had our date tonight...we sat in front of the TV and watched Larry the Cable Guys new show...it was just okay, but glad we did that together.

And off to another week we start! I swear time is just flying by all the time.

Better Than Expected!!!

I picked Jeff up from school this afternoon, only to learn that he had a great day! He had some tears when he was transitioning from room to room...you know if he wasn't getting his way, but for the most part it was great!!! I'm so thankful that he did well, I was so unsure how he would do. Well now I'm off to enjoy the rest of the afternoon off!

Starts New School Today

This morning I dropped Jeff off at the Children's Discovery Center for the first time. I was extremely nervous about doing it, since I wasn't sure how he was going to react, but I think it went better than I was expecting. I walked him in and he wanted to use the bathroom right away, you know since they are "his size." He did that, and I asked if he wanted any breakfast, but he didn't so I put his stuff away told him to have a great day and I left. I heard him kind of crying and asking for another hug, but I didn't turn around because I knew it would just get worse. I'm hoping that everything goes well while he's there, I'm sure it will, but it is going to be a huge adjustment for him...listening and following directions, not always getting to do what he wants...it will be good for him!

So Naps...

Yeah we haven't given up on the naps yet. After the doctors appointment Friday telling us he had an ear infection, it's not something we could take away, and honestly something else must be brewing because he's been really tired the past few days. Oh well, hopefully we'll get this nap thing figured out soon.

Snow...Lots of Snow

We got around 4 inches of snow over the weekend and guess, what they are calling for around 10 inches of snow through today and tomorrow. It's suppose to snow so much that our boss is having us shut the office down early today so we can be home and be safe. Tomorrow is even questionable as to if we will be working or not...I'm hoping for not, but assuming we will be.

This afternoon I'm heading to the hotel to swim and relax with Jeff, while mom takes my car so she can clean the plant. No work...I could get used to this!

Our Weekend

Was actually pretty relaxing...AGAIN, hard to believe we could have 2 of these in a row, but we did!! Jeff went to the doctors on Friday and we found out he had an ear infection so that nixed a couple of plans, but other than that we didn't do much.

Friday night Nick went and purchased a new TV for the living room and as much as I hate admitting it, it looks really nice. Although, there was no need for a TV to be purchased, the other one was just fine. We spent the night relaxing and not doing to much of anything, just getting ready for the few inches of snow we were suppose to get over night.

When we woke up Saturday we found out that the basketball game was cancelled so I suggested breakfast at the hotel. Well since we were going to the hotel, I wanted to see if I could get a massage...Nick got me a few for Christmas and I have yet to use one of them. Luckily I got in and it was perfect, just what I needed. Meanwhile since I was doing that, Nick & Jeff went and purchased a PS3 and did a few other things. Nick hasn't gotten it yet, but it should be here in a couple of weeks. After that we went and purchased a new mattress for Jeff, then it was home to relax and enjoy the afternoon. WE did enjoy it, we all sat and watched UP together, then had dinner with John & Steph and made a trip out to there house to see Alvin. My goodness he has gotten big, but I guess that happens when you don't see him for a couple of weeks!

Sunday we spent all moring at home so I could cook and get things ready for the Super Bowl Party that was going to be held at the hotel. Jeff was a big help and helped me bake a few things and of course sampled a little bit too. We ended up having a great time at the hotel and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with everyone. The outcome was pretty nice too!

Good-Bye Naps!

Today is the first day we are trying to do away with naps for Jeff. He is just going to sleep to late at night anymore and I'm assuming it's because he's still napping during the day. I'm disappointed that I'll loose some of the night with him, but we need to do what is best for him and if that means he's able to sleep longer at night then so be it.

The Quiet Weekend!

Our weekend was great! The family was out of town so it really just was the 3 of us and even though Jeff gave me a hard time about it...A LOT, it was still nice to be home.

We did start off the weekend by going to Smokey Bones for dinner. It tasted great and was really good, but I was disappointed in the price. We had a buy 1 get 1 coupon and our bill was still about $40. Of course I know that was because we got a few extras, but still. We came home and I think all of us crashed! Pathetic yes, but since we are all getting up early it feels good to go to bed early.

Saturday Nick had to work in the morning which was great because that meant I still got up early, got my workout in, showered, and then received a phone call saying that "I'm hungry, is it to late to take you up on your breakfast offer?" Sure no problem, Jeff & I hurried up and got ready, loaded the car and took off for breakfast. Got to the plant, visited for awhile, ate, then hurried off to swim lessons. Then of course after swimming we had to run a couple of errands because we needed food in our house. Crazy enough yet? When I got home I was running around trying to hurry and make lunch so we could leave at a decent time and go with Nick to the basketball game. I drop Nick off at the game, he calls me 5 minutes later saying the game doesn't start until 255 so I have some time...great, I don't really have anything to do! Jeff & I killed some time at ToysRUs before heading back to the game. We had fun, the boys won, it was actually a close game and tense as always. Tim, from the plant showed up, so afterwards he was lifting Jeff up towards the basket and of course it's all Jeff can talk about. Jeff fell asleep in the car on the way home, so we just drove around for awhile, grabbed some food, then went home to enjoy the rest of the night...felt great.

Sunday we got up at a decent time, and went to the hotel to have breakfast with Amanda & Audrey and swim...it's nice we can have such a great time together. What are we going to do when mom & dad aren't at the hotel??? Anyway, we headed home and all relaxed all afternoon...took naps, I did homework, cooked dinner...relaxed and it felt great.

It was nice to be by ourselves this weekend and not have the phones ringing. Of course I love being around my family, but it's just nice to have some down time as well.
