Christmas Pictures!

I took Jeff to get his Christmas pictures taken tonight! He didn't want to sit for them at all, so we had to bribe him with a piece of chocolate. They came out pretty good actually... I would prefer not to have the chocolate, but oh well, right?

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it's a day early, but I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! I'm thankful for so many things, and this day is just a nice way to remember some of them! Plus eating all the food is pretty great too!

Ear Infections = One Unhappy Boy!

The poor man was crying hysterically Monday after he got up from his nap and holding his ear. After I looked at it more closely I noticed that there was fluid draining from it. I called the new doctor and explained what was going on. They weren't sure if they'd get to see me because I hadn't seen the doctor for a new doctor meet and greet yet, but luckily they got us in. Jeff has a horrible ear infection and an ear drumb that's ready to burst. Hopefully the eardrops and oral antibotic will help get rid of it!

Christmas Lights Change with Music

Relaxing, Shopping, Lights, & Santa!

Well this past weekend was suppose to be relaxing and not much going on, but somehow that always changes! It was quiet some of the weekend but really we always end up getting something scheduled.

Friday night we went and picked up a desk from someone and than went to drop it off at the bosses house. It was suppose to be a quick in and out thing, but of course we ended up staying like an hour and a half at the bosses place. It actually was okay though because the kids really enjoyed playing together. It was fun to watch them interact together, I was a little nervous how Jeff would do, but he actually did extremely well! We ended up leaving around 7:50, going to grab a quick dinner, than home so Jeff could get into bed.

Saturday, Nick had to work for a few hours in the morning, so Jeff & I went to the grocery store and than home to make homemade pizzas...yummy! And of course we settled in to watch the Michigan vs OSU game. We knew Michigan would loose, but they were horrible! Before the game I had Nick try and fix Jeff's crib since he had stripped the screws on the headboard and footboard...no luck in fixing it, so we actually went during the game to BabiesRUs and purchased Jeff his new bed! It's gorgeous and he loves it, which is the most important. Really we just spent the rest of the evening putting the crib together and hanging out, felt nice!

Sunday we woke up and went to breakfast, then Nick left for Tiffin for the coaching class he had to go and take. Jeff and I hung out for a little bit, then headed out to do some much needed shopping!!! Got Jeff a few things for the Christmas season and then we got Aunt Steph her birthday present. I tried looking for her Christmas present too, but I just didn't see anything that I feel in love with. But I did find a gorgeous sweater that I liked for myself...now I just gotta convince Nick to get it for me! Jeff & I both took wonderful naps Sunday afternoon, and then that night we headed to the zoo so we could see the Christmas lights. It was awesome! Even Jeff enjoyed being bundled up and watching all of the lights. We took him to visit with Santa, he wasn't to sure what to think of him though! We tried to get a good picture, but he didn't want any part of that!

Jeff & Daddy "Play" Video Games

This is what Jeff & Nick like to do while I'm not at home...
I hate that he's letting him "play" video games, but they enjoy it together so how can you deny them that time? But just so you know, Jeff's controler has the wires cut and he isn't playing, he's just pretending!

A Random Post

Jeff & his daddy are really starting to become buddies! It's nice that Jeff likes to hang out with Nick now and he doesn't always need to be around me...I get time to myself now! One of the new things that Jeff & Nick have been doing together, is "playing" video games. See they both really aren't playing...Nick is playing and Jeff is using his controller that doesn't have a cord attached to it, hence he's just pushing buttons, but not really playing the game. Although he thinks he is getting to play. When I walked down in the basement the other night, this is what I saw...

Jeff sitting on daddy's lap playing Nascar together! They both have the same looks on their faces...LOL!!!

It's moments like these that make me want him to stay this age for awhile!

Hopefully this doesn't become some sort of addition, otherwise mom will have to step in and look like the bad guy!

My mom went to Macy's yesterday for their sale and got Jeff his Christmas outfit! I was just going to let him wear the sweater he wore in our family pictures, but mom got him something else. Of course he LOVES it because it has trains on it. I had to get a picture of him in it though, to see how it fit...
The boy cannot smile anymore...he just bites his bottom lip when we do pictures now. Of course he has a beautiful smile any other time.

And the last picture on the blog is actually very special. Most people know that Jeff was named after my dad. But for the people who don't...about 2 years ago my dad had a cardiac arrest while I was pregnant with Jeff and we didn't know what the outcome was going to be. Nick & I decided at that time to name him after my dad, we figured he needed a good strong name and Jeff would be perfect! Okay well I've been drinking hot tea at night since the weather is getting cooler, and Jeff likes to take sips of it. The other night he wanted his own cup, and I knew the perfect one... This cup was my dads when he was a little boy, and if you look closely you can see it says "Jeff" on it. Since he won't get lots of things with his name on it, since it's a little uncommon, I figured it deserved it's own little picture. I love how he is looking over the top of the cup with his eyes...it fits how he is perfectly!

Elmo Video

Playtime With Tori

The Weekend Was Crazy!

I knew going into it, that the weekend was going to be nuts, but nuts was really an understatement! So much was planned, it honestly didn't even sound like it was going to be fun.

Friday night we decided to just hang out and not do much since Jeff was not feeling well and I knew we had to travel the next day. We got some takeout and put him to bed early. Felt nice to have sometime just to ourselves. Of course Nick was downstairs doing his thing and I was upstairs doing laundry, taking a test, finishing a paper, and getting things together for the shower on Saturday. I think we both were actually sleeping by 9:30...watch out some party people we are!

I got up Saturday around 6:30, got the lasagna's in the oven and hopped in the shower. I woke Nick up around 7:30 and he got moving a bit. Jeff didn't wakeup until 8:30 which was amazing. I pretty much had everything together and we were out of the house pretty much right at nine. Had a great car ride down, Jeff was perfect, and enjoyed trucks splashing water onto our car when they drove by. The shower went pretty well too. Of course some things occured that pissed me off beyond belief, but besides that it was nice to see everyone. By the time we left though, Jeff was done and screamed almost all the way home. I hate when he does that, especially since I knew why he was acting that way, but what could I do? He took a great nap though when we got home, and when he woke up we waited for the gang to show up. Lisa, Tori, and Ruthann all came up to spend the evening with us. Ruthann took us all out to Applebee's which was so nice of her and then we just sat around and enjoyed the conversations between us while the kids played. Jeff loved having Tori around, and she was great at entertaining him! It was sad to say good-bye though because I really don't know when we'll get to see them again.

Enjoying some playtime at the shower.

Tori & Jeff

Sunday was an incredible day! We woke up to snow on the ground!!!! A light dusting, but snow none the less. Jeff was excited to see it. Jeff didn't wake up until 8:30 again, so I quickly got him dressed and then we headed out the door to church. He was actually awesome during church, which was a shock, and then went to breakfast with Steph & Nick, which was yummy as always! We went to BRU to look at a new dresser and crib for Jeff, but more about that a little later! Jeff took a nap and then I went running with Steph, which was awesome! Felt great to be outside in the cool weather. The best part of the day though, was taking Jeff to go see ELMO!! He loved it...he was dancing in my lap, and had such serious looks on his face. I'm glad I got to share the experience with him!

Amanda, Audrey & Jeff...so cute!

Elmo & Sunny, the sun flower.

How priceless is his face...he was so excited!

Trying to get a good picture of the both of them.

Jeff Starts to Read

Jeff enjoys reading books...more than any child I've known. Saturday night he sat down and started reading out loud. Jibberish of course, but it was cute! I tried to record sooner, but didn't catch it all. The last 10 seconds or so show him "reading his book."

Already Monday...

Well the weekend was once again way to short! We were planning on staying home for the weekend, but we were guilted into going up to the lake to help with leaves. It wasn't a big deal and we didn't mind going, felt good to get away really, but we asked Thursday night if they were sure they didn't need us up there, and they didn't...but then minds were changed. Now that bothers me a bit, but oh well. We had a nice drive up there though, our car flipped to 100,000 miles...bitter sweet really! I actually took a picture of the occasion, I thought it was important to remember! Jeff was great in the car reading his book and watching his Elmo dvd.

The picture is blurry, but at least I can remember when it switched!

Jeff being a good boy and reading his garden book.

Saturday morning we woke up and it was a little chilly! I think it was flurrying out a little bit, but I braved the conditions and went for my 4 mile run, and I did it! I ran from the cottage over to camp and back and it felt great. I think I could of kept going, but glad I stopped since we had to do leaves later on. I didn't get pictures of the leaves, my camera was inside and I was to busy blowing outside, but just trust me when I say it was crazy! Pretty much all the leaves were down, which was good, but there were so many it got to the point we couldn't even blow them anymore and we had to start sucking them up. Thank goodness for John's equipment because it helps us go so much faster. It only took us 2 1/2 hours, which isn't really that bad. Dad mowed the lawn with Jeff, which was a big help because then we could concentrate on just getting things done. They were still doing things outside but I went in to take care of Jeff, got him some lunch and layed him down for a nap...he slept for 3 hours!!!! In the meantime I got to eat lunch, shower, and take a little nap myself. We all actually took naps, well Nick didn't, he was to busy watching the Michigan game. We left the lake around 3:30, to get home at a decent time. Jeff ate some dinner and went to bed around 7, Nick & I got some dinner, and I went to bed around 8:30, I was exhausted from all of the hard work!

Didn't really wake up until 7:30 and even then it was to a happy little boy!!! Felt great to sleep that long! I was pondering the idea of going up to Ann Arbor to the Hands-On Museum, Nick thought it was a good idea so we got our butts moving. Headed to Meijer to get some stuff for the week/breakfast and then Nick decided to call his parents to see if they wanted to head up there with us. We got up there are 12 and Jeff was going the ENTIRE time...he ran from one thing to another and was having a wonderful time. The place is a little big for him, but the Preschool room was great and he enjoyed about 40 minutes in there. Can you believe we were only about a block away from Zingerman's and we didn't go? I'm still in shock by this! Anyway we got home, Jeff took a nap, my parents came home, and we all enjoyed a nice chicken dinner. It was nice to have everyone sitting around together chatting.

Enjoying the stove! He liked how the doors open and closed.

He would spray his face with the squirt bottle...at least he thought it was funny!

The water table was a huge hit, I think he spent most of his time here.

Daddy & Jeff playing at the water table.

Driving the ambulance! He loved that the lights were flashing and sirens were going off.

Climbing through the tunnel!

Some video from our adventures at the museum!

Since we ate dinner at 4ish we were all hungry for a snack later on and decided to make some popcorn. Jeff LOVES popcorn! Here he is sitting in the recliner with his very own bowl!

Obama Has Won

Well it's official - Barack Obama is our new president. To say that I'm looking forward to him being the president would be a lie. I'm very disappointed that he won, it makes me very nervous, especially with the lack of experience that he has. I think McCain/Palin would of done a much better job, but of course that's just my opinion. I wasn't expecting different results though, just hoping.

He really got the votes though, and I think that's amazing! Look at the map...

Our Family Pictures...Finally We Have Some!

I LOVE Gerri Leonard she has been a good friend of the family for years, but she is an amazing photographer! Sunday morning we met at the Wolcott House and she took some great pictures of us as a family, and let me say, it's about time...Jeff is 21 months and we have never taken family pictures. I LOVE the way they came out, and I can't wait to hang them on the wall!
