Spring is near, at least I hope it is

Spring time is coming, I can feel it! I'm really ready for the weather to get nicer out, plus I cannot wait to be able to take Jeff running outside. I might even try and get out there tonight. He likes being outside so much, so I'm really hoping he'll tolerate the stroller better than he used to.

Running is going to be a challange for me! I actually ran Saturday, only a mile, but at least it was something, and I could run without stopping. Haven't ran without stopping in ages, and haven't run since October/November of last year. I can really tell a difference in my body though. Really anxious to get back to doing what I love!

Here's to 60 degrees and hoping it gets nicer outside!!!

Pool, Not A Favorite

Well we arrived in Indy this afternoon. Jeff could not of been better...thank goodness for the dvd player, it was a life saver, really. I'm sick of the comments we get from family members about him having one, but this was the first ride that we didn't have to listen to him cry in the car, which seriously was a first!

Took Jeff into the pool right away...it was not a big hit! Let's just say he did not like it. He was gripping on for dear life and doing his normal unsure about something whine. We put him in the hot tub for a bit and he liked that better, but really it was not the best idea, hope I didn't scare him iwth that.

My cousin Sarah brought her little boy over Joseph. It was fun to watch Joseph and Jeff interact with each other. They were so cute giggling and laughing.

We spent most of the night just hanging out...nothing really else...

Packing Joys

This weekend were are heading to Indy because my cousin is making his confirmation. We really aren't going for any reason other than it's an excuse to get away and hopefully relax. Well one of the joys of having a child is how much stuff you actually have to pack, even if you are only going for 1 night!

Jeff's Packing List -
1 crib sheet
3 blankets
bears
2 pairs of pjs
3 white t-shirts
church outfit and coat
coat & hat
2 pairs of shoes
jeans
2 shirts
sweats
diapers
wipes
bath stuff
books
toys
bottles
formula
bottle scrubber
food
night light
pack-n-play
fan

I'm sure I forgot somethings, but seriously all of this to go away for the night! It's crazy...it used to be a couple things and you are done, but not anymore!

Restaurant Rants!

I loved finding out about the $1 burger nights at Bar Louie, especially with the price of everything going up, it was nice to know I could go some place once a week and get a cheap meal. Last night we get there, you ready for this...the wait was an 1 1/2....I could believe it. We got there at 615, so it wasn't an unusual time...I couldn't believe it, I was so pissed!

So of course we still needed to eat some dinner, so we all decided to head over to Granite City. We eat our food, get ready to pay for the bill and we have 2 seperate bills for DH & me. Our waitress tells us it's because only the mug club cardholder, which would be my DH, get the 10% off of his bill. I of course tell her we've been here 2 other times and have always gotten 10% off the entire bill, not just what he ordered. So I got screwed over there too.

It was not a good night for eating out...frustrating more than anything!

Welcome Audrey Elizabeth

My friend from high school and her husband welcomed their new little girl into the world...Audrey Elizabeth. I was able to go up to the hospital this afternoon and see her, and goodness is she a cutie. I couldn't believe how small she was either. I guess it's easy to forget how little they start out. She is bigger than Jeff was when he was born, and seriously she looked like a little peanut, I can't even remember Jeff being that small...those were the days. But thank goodness he is 14 months!

Good Luck to the new parents, may she bring you as much joy as Jeff has brought to us!

The Date!

April 11!!!!
Took Jeff to the ENT today and scheduled the date for him to get the tubes put in his ears. I'm so excited to get this done for him, I really think it's going to make a huge difference on the way he feels, at least I'm hoping for this anyway.

The only downfall is that water can no longer get in his ears. It just means being super careful during bath time and this summer at the lake.

Easter Sunday

Well what a morning it has been...and it's only 11:30!!!

We all went as a family to Easter mass, at 7 am...it's early yes, but we like going and getting mass over with. But Jeff was not wanting to be there at all this morning. He saw fur on the coat of the person in front of us, and was bent over forever trying to grab for it. He made so much noise and we got nasty looks from old ladies...it's so annoying. No I don't like it that he whines but you know what, there is no cry room in this church, wth am I suppose to do with him?

After church we went back to the house and Nick did an Easter egg hunt with Jeff...I took some video of it and included the link below. Jeff was so proud of himself for finding the eggs. I think he liked shaking them and listening to what was inside more than anything.

Breakfast was great! Ham, Eggs, Pineapple, Hash browns, Carrot Cake, and I'm sure some other things, but oh it tasted so yummy. I ate so much that I had to work out, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

The rest of the day was extremely boring! We did nothing, but it was nice to be home and just relax too.

Hearing Test

Well this morning I got to take Jeff to his hearing test for the ENT appointment on Monday. My darling child was giggling so much he was missing some of the sounds. He wanted the animals to go and if they weren't he was turning towards me and whinning...like I could actually turn them on! It was cute though...

Not sure how well he did since he missed some of the sounds! They were quiet but with the giggling he couldn't hear them, I could, but he couldn't...it will be interesting!

2 Nights Out

Nick & I never got out. One, we don't like to waste the money and two, I don't like leaving Jeff for a night out when I'm not with him all day. Well this is the 2nd time this week that we've been out! Sunday night mom watched him so we could go to the movies and tonight mom & dad watched him so we could go out with Steph & John!!! We are getting spoiled I think! Plus we get to head out tomorrow night too...how lucky are we?

The Famous Giggle

Jeff giggles like crazy when people make different noises...one of the being a mower noise that Aunt Stephanie was trying to make last night. I figured I would upload the video, so some of you who haven't seen him for awhile could look at how big he's getting.

Weekend In Review

Oh man, the weekend just goes by way to fast. I mean it takes so long to get to Friday, and than before I know it, bam, it's Monday morning again....it's so frustrating. I must need a vacation or something because I'm dreading coming into work each week.

I love being home with Jeff and wish that I could just stay with him all the time. When he cries as I walk out the door it breaks my heart. This morning he laid his head on my shoulder and rubbed my back. It was the sweetest thing, it was like he was telling me "mommy, don't go, I need you here with me..."

The weekend was great! We went to tha lake and relaxed up there. It had been way to long since we'd been there and I forget how much we relax when we are there. The lake is beautiful right now. It's completely frozen over, and with the sun shining it was just perfect! Nothing really was planned. Friday night it was just Nick & I, no one else got up there until around 930 or so. It was so nice to be by ourselves and not have anyone around. Even Jeff went to bed well, must mean he likes it at the lake too. Saturday we went to Shipsy to E & S. That place is so much fun, especially the deals you can find in there. But FYI if anyone is interested, a new waterpark opened up there, and it's just okay on the inside, extremely crowded! Saturday night the Coffman's came to the lake, boy did Jeff like hanging out with them. Tommy & Michael sure did wear him ou
t, it was cute to watch them all together. Jeff liked getting pushed on his truck for like an hour. The giggles were priceless!

Sunday lets see, I don't think anything to good happened...expect Jeff had a friend sitting next to him on the car ride home! Not sure if Olin enjoyed the hands petting him, but Jeff enjoyed him!

He Can Say "Hi"

So Saturday night Jeff said "Hi" or what sounds like hi, but he said it. Very proud of him, maybe he's finally going to start saying more things!

Thankful Thursday

I'm so thankful that it's Thursday...what more can I say, well lots really. Today is Thursday and it's already 2, so that means I only have another hour of work and then I get to go home, a blessing in itself. Plus tomorrow I took a 1/2 day because mom is going to Ft. Wayne to see her sister. Looking forward to another look weekend!

Appointment Made!

Well that was less painful than I thought it was going to be!
I'm so glad I made the appointments for him. And I get him in sooner than I thought I would...March 24, I'm so excited. Hopefully he'll be able to get the tubes in sooner and it will help him feel better. It's so frustrating as a mother to not be able to help your baby when he's frustrated and not himself. Hoping this is the answer to our prayers!

Jeff's Easter's pictures are GREAT!
Go to www.serendipitybygerri.com Go to clients, type in "easter" and it will bring up the pictures. There are other ones in there besides his, so look carefully!
I'm tired...I thought I would start the post out by saying that. This time change is kicking my butt, and I'm sure it's not helping that Jeff is waking up in the middle of the night right now. You would figure at 13 1/2 months he would learn to sleep all night, wouldn't you? I feel so bad for him, his ears are bothering him so much. I need to get him into a specialist and sooner rather than later...in fact I'm going to look that information up right now...hopefully I can find someone good, I'll blog more in a little bit.

I can wave bye-bye

Finally, at 13 1/2 months I'm proud to announce that Jeff can wave bye-bye, and he tries to say bye too. It's adorable, and I'm so happy he's finally doing it!

Babbling & Kisses, The Life of Jeff!

Jeff is finally starting to babble and give kisses! I know I posted the other day about babbling, but it's adorable. And last night we were saying bye to Howie at the hospital and he said "bye"...not clearly but you knew what he was saying. I LOVE IT, he's getting so big.

And the best news is he's giving kisses! If you say you want a smootch, he gives you a kiss and says "ba" not sure what "ba" means, but he says it and gives you kisses, it's so cute. He finally decided to give Nick a kiss today, thank goodness because he wasn't doing it. I love all of these new things he's doing.

This child is obessed with wheels! Right now he turned the sweeper upside down and he's playing with the wheels...if only life were that simple!

Snow In March!!!!

I'm so sick of this snow...it's March 8 and the snow is just coming down...it's crazy!

So much going on here right now...Nick's dad is up at St. V's with a large blood clot in his groin, hopefully he gets out of there soon. I had lunch with Amanda today, haven't seen her forever and we went to Granite City over at the Fallen Timbers mall and hung out for a couple of hours...best part was, Jeff was a perfect angel the whole time, I was shocked but relieved! Nick just go back from Tiffin, he took his mom to a funeral down there, walked in the door and than walked out so he could help John plow all of the condos and get his work done!

That's it for now...more later!

Not sure of the snow!

We decided to venture out and take Jeff out in the snow. Boy was that a mistake, he did not like it at all! Jeff is extremely timid when it comes to trying new things, and this was not on his list, but at least we got a picture of him on the seld.

Doctor Appointments, Pictures, Oh My!

Well I'm taking Jeff back to the doctor's this morning. The poor little guy is just pulling at his ears and waking up again at night. I feel so bad for him. I'm hoping it's not another ear infection...that would be 7 since November, but at the same time I hope it is so I can get him medicine. I'm also going to try and get the referral for the Ears/Nose/Throat Doctor so we can get tubes put in his ears. Not sure what else to do for him, but I'm sure it will be good to get this taken care of. I'm hoping if he ends up with tubes that his speech and hearing would imrpove as well.

I'm looking forward to the weekend! We get to spend quality time with Jeff which is the best part! Saturday I'm taking him to get Easter pictures done. A good friend of ours, Gerri Leonard does photography - www.serendipitybygerri.com and she does amazing work. I can't wait to see what she does for Easter pictures! I'll be sure to post a link to it after I get the proofs back.

Babbling Away

We have been waiting for Jeff to start talking for months now! He used to say "mom" but that stopped the last time he was getting his last set of teeth. He says "dada" sometimes, but mostly he will just scream or whine. On Wednesday I heard him start to babble...YEAH!!!! I'm so excited and it's so cute. He talks to his toys, to his animals in his bed, and he's even starting to do it to us as well. I can't wait for him to start talking...it will be so exciting!

Happy Birthday to Dad!

Yesterday was my dad's birthday...he's 51! Hard to believe that a year has gone by...it feels like we were just celebrating his 50th. We had such a good time last night. We went to dinner at the Whitehouse Inn, they have awesome food there, by the way! Everyone had such a good time. Of course Jeff didn't take a nap yesterday afternoon and was done and ready to leave well before Nick & I were ready too. That's okay though, at least he was good right?
We finally got a family picture taken last night! We haven't had one taken since Jeff's baptism last March!

Awesome Weekend!

This weekend was incredible, in fact it was the first time in a long time that I was actually dreading going back to work on Monday. I think because Jeff is getting older it's making it so much more enjoyable to do stuff with him.

Friday night, I got off work around 3, got home, Jeff was down for a nap. I was planning on working out, but got a phone call from a friend from high school and ended up talking to her for an hour and half...it was so great to catch up on our lives. Nick & I decided to head out to dinner, we needed fish since it's Lent, so we went to the Briarfield Cafe. Our dinners were horrible, we were so disappointed, the fish batter wasn't crunchy it was soft...gross. After dinner we went to BigBee Coffee and got a Chai Latte, it tasted pretty good.

Saturday morning Jeff got me up around 7, we hung out and relaxed together. Nick was anxious to get out of the house, he was planning on going to Columbus for the weekend to hang out with his friends. While Jeff took his morning nap, I worked on things for my RE/MAX job so I could mail them out. Jeff woke up, we said good-bye to Nick and off we went to mail the post cards and than to Dale's to have lunch with the family. We ended up going to the Central vs Libby game, Jeff was pretty good, but can't sit still that long. Central ended up loosing by like 30 points, it wasn't a very good game to say the least. Got home around 330 or so, put Jeff down for a nap, I worked out, Jeff wasn't asleep yet, so I got him up and we went to church. He was so good for as tired as he was. After church we ordered pizza and just hung out for a bit. When Jeff I was in bed I did some homework, then went to bed.

Sunday morning I was snuggling with Jeff and my dad came up and wanted to take Jeff with him to run the dogs. There was no way my dad could carry Jeff in the field, and there was no way that Jeff could walk in the snow, I "willingly" went along. It was great! Jeff loved being in the field with grangpa, and it was beautiful out so I'm glad we went. After we got home grandpa decided it was time for breakfast so we went out to Bob Evans...it was yummy! When we got home, Jeff went down for a nap, I worked out. We spent the afternoon reading books, he loves books. Nick got home around 330 or so, but of course he was exhausted and needed to shower. Dad called and told us to meet them at Granite City Brewery...GO THERE...it was awesome, so we did and had drinks, it was lots of fun. Home for dinner, bath, homework, and bed!

Jeff & I had such a good weekend together...sad it's over.

I think that was about it for the weekend, I had

Starting My Blog

I decided it was time for me to step into the times and create a blog!
It's mostly going to be a place for me to document things that Jeff is doing, so I can remember certain things as he gets older, but I'm also going to use it for general thoughts!

I'm so excited to do this...I'm just going to have to remember to keep up with it!
Happy Blogging!
