Happy 2nd Birthday Jeff!!!

I can't believe Jeff is 2 years old today. It's amazing how fast time really does fly by. I feel like Nick & I were just on our way to the hospital to have him that cold January morning, and how the c-section kept getting more and more delayed because of all of the emergencies. But at 12:51 Jeffrey greeted us with a nice loud scream and our lives were changed forever! He's so much bigger now then he was than!!!
Jeff the day he was born.

We had a great day to say the least! Mom took Jeff out to the plant so Nick & I could have lunch together with him, since neither of us could take the day off. It was great getting to spend some quality time with him like that. Jeff of course got a forklift ride, which I think was his favorite part...he loves those things! It amazes me how he knows and understands how it all works and what levers to press to make the machines do certain things...

I got off work and headed to get him some balloons for this birthday, then got home and Jeff & I took off to deliver the basketballs to Nick for practice, Jeff got to stay for a little bit and I ran to the library to get some new books. Back to St. Joe's to get Jeff, then we headed home to wait for everyone to get there so we could eat dinner. We were suppose to have Myles, but mom wanted to try out her new stove so we had a beef roast, carrots and mashed potatoes instead. Everyone liked it and it was so yummy.

Jeff enjoyed opening presents...he's getting to be a pro at taking off the wrapping paper. Wonder what it will be like next year? Not rushing it though. He was spoiled rotten by my family. Grandma & Grandpa renewed his zoo pass and got him an animal sweatshirt, which he'll love wearing. Nick & I got him more of the GeoTrax stuff, but I think he's to little for what we got for him. And Uncle John & Aunt Steph got him a mini wheel barrel so he can help out in the yard! It was perfect and very much appreciated. After presents we did cake and icecream, well the girls and Jeff did it...they guys were busy putting together the wheel barrel! It was so nice to be able to celebrate with everyone.

Starting to open his presents, he was so excited.

Wonder what's in the big box??

A Wheelbarrel...Thanks Uncle John & Aunt Steph!

The Boys putting it together...yes it took all 3 of them!

Stultz Birthday Party for Jeff

Today we went down to Tiffin to celebrate Jeff's birthday with Nick's side of the family. We decided it would be nice for them to spend some time with Jeff without my family there. Of course when I plan these things, I forget how much work is actually involved, but I'd do anything for my little man, so no complaining. We had a great time though! We left Toledo around 9 and got down there at a decent time. Lauren & Howard were already there so we got to spend a few minutes without a lot of people around. It was great getting to see how big Luke is getting. I miss Jeff that age, but I'm glad that Jeff is able to communicate with me, makes life so much easier.

All in all we had a great time, and I think the pictures speak for themselves. Uncle Howard made Jeff a mini corn hole game, it's so awesome, I love it. I think Nick is looking forward to playing with it more than Jeff!

Loving Cars

I know I've said it before on here, but I'm going to reiterate the fact that Jeff is in love with the movie Cars...I think it's his favorite video out there right now, and considering the fact that we watch it almost every night, I think just states the fact even more. He has come to like when the song "Life is A Highway" comes on...he will dance and act all goofy. I took some video to show you just because I think it's cute, plus I need to remember things like this!

An Important Day in History

I can't believe that today I will be witnessing this huge monumental step for America. I think it's amazing and it just shows how far we've come in such a short amount of time. I'm getting chills just watching all of this going on. I wish Jeff were older so he could appreciate all of this, what a great history lesson. People all over the world will remember where they were the day that President Obama took office.

I'm not an Obama fan, or I guess I should say I wasn't, and I'm worried about some of the things that could occur from him being in office, but he is our President and I'll support the decisions he makes. Here is to the wonderful event taking place today!

The New TV!

Mom & Dad purchased a new 42inch LCD TV for the house on Sunday and it was delivered this afternoon. All 7 of us were sitting around the living room watching the TV tonight...normally that does not happen. It's very nice though, and I'm sure we'll be spending many more evening in there...

Of course the movie we were watching was Cars...Jeff was still up and it's his favorite!

Time Flies When You Are Having Fun

The weekend has come and gone, like always, but this weekend was filled with lots of stuff going on! A relaxing and quiet weekend...who does that? Friday night started off great, got off work early and went to an eye doctors appointment. Jeff & I made a trip to Meijers to pick up the bookself for his room since it was on sale. Uncle Tim & Aunt Janet came in for the weekend and we had a wonderful evening of sitting around eating some yummy chili and laughing, so much fun!

Saturday morning Nick had a basketball game early...8:30, and considering Jeff normally sleeps until that time, I got him up at 7:50 and hurried out of the house. I didn't want to miss the game, my friend Amanda was actually going to be there so we had to get moving! The boys played great and were behind, but came back to win...go St. Joe's!!!! When we got home, Jeff & I made cupcakes (we are practicing for his birthday ones next weekend,) Nick made phone calls to try and get rid of the entertainment center (ended up going to Nick's parents,) got people to come over to help move the entertainment center...dad changed his mind and wanted it moved on Sunday instead! We put together the bookself, redid Jeff's room, got a phone call to head to Star Diner for lunch so off we went. That place is so good! After lunch Uncle John called to see what Jeff was doing, he needed some help salting a parking lot, so we delivered Jeff to him, and the excitement in Jeff is just worth every second! Uncle John taught him how to lift and lower the dump bed...good lord what this 2 year old knows!!! We had an awesome dinner too...Uncle Tim brought steaks over so we had a big party. Jeff even got his own 8oz filet...does this boy know how lucky he is?

Jeff learning how to raise & lower the bed of the truck.

We saw this dear in the cemetary before church. Jeff LOVES him.

Sunday was another early day! A nice breakfast, Tim & Janet took off, we got the entertainment center loaded up and off to Tiffin we went. We didn't tell Nick's parents that Jeff & I were coming, figured we'd suprise them. I think they liked seeing their grandson and I know Jeff had a great time with all of his cousins. It was so nice having all of the guys around to help get the entertainment center in the house, of course their tv didn't fit so Ruthann and Nick went off to get a new tv. There house looks really nice with the new setup, and the important thing is they like it too!!!

Jeff was so excited to ride in Joe's truck down to Tiffin!

Jeff wearing daddy's high school football helmet.

Jeff "playing" the Wii (he took a telephone and was pretending to play like Nick & Kyleigh...very cute)

When we got home, mom & dad had boughten 2 new tvs, a new tv stand, stove and mircowave...the new tv's are so awesome. We watched the Steeler's game on it last night. I'm anxious for the new one to be delivered today...tonight's tv viewing should be fun!

Freezing Temps!

Oh my goodness it's so cold outside...my computer is reading -10 right now and lord only knows what the wind chill is out there. It hasn't been this cold in who knows how long, all schools were canceled here today, those are the days I wish I were a teacher!

I'm so happy it's the weekend though! That means 2 whole days of time with Jeff and who could resist thoses? I love that little boy so much. Today when I got home I had a few minutes to sit down, but only a few because then he was up and ready to play. When I walked in his room to get him he had this huge grin on his face, it just melts my heart! I love that I can't do anything without him right next to me, he's a momma's boy that's for sure. I'm the only one who can sit by him when he eats, he likes me to give him a bath and put him to bed, he can't stay with dad if mom has to run an errand, he's right there with me.

Tonight we went to Meijers, yes I took him out in this weather, so we could get a bookcase for his room. He has so many books, it was the only option! And while we were there I looked around for a bit and found some CARS items for his room...a Mator pillow which he hasn't put down since I gave it to him, a McQueen light for his room, and then a night light. I know he doesn't need it, and it wasn't in the budget, but I just had to get it for him. He's my little man and I love to spoil him rotten!

Our Child Is A Little Shit!

And I don't care who gives me crap about it. Jeff is almost 2, he knows right from wrong. About a month ago he put teeth marks in his brand new crib. We corrected him for it, explained why he shouldn't do that and what would happen if he did it again. Amazingly he stopped doing it and we haven't had anymore problems... until yesterday & today that is. That little shit put tons of teeth marks in his bed and I'm so upset. The crib was not cheap, and now it looks like crap. He knows what he did was wrong because when I asked him about it he starts to cry and tries to change the subject, but it makes me so mad that he's still doing it.

Nick & I went out tonight and got this Gummie stuff to go over the crib rail so he can bite all he wants, but it won't wreck the crib!

The Snow!

I can't believe all of the snow that we got over the weekend...I think the weather forecast said we got 11 inches of snow...11 inches!!! It looks amazing outside though. We are suppose to get more this week so we'll see what happens.

Since we got all of this snow over the weekend, we didn't venture out to much. Of course now that I'm thinking about it, I guess we did, but it didn't seem like it was as busy as we normally are.

Friday night my dad thought it was a great idea to go out for dinner, so we headed out to Cold Keg, which is this great little dive, but it took forever and the service was slow. Jeff's bedtime is normally around 8 and we didn't get out of the restaurant until 8:30...we got there at 6:45. But he was good the entire time we were there so I can't complain.

Saturday was a relaxing sort of day! Nick's basketball got cancelled, I went and did TurboKick at the Y with Steph, Nick worked with John most of the day, I ran errands with Jeff & my parents. Dad took Jeff to BassPro so he could get him a headlight like he got the boys for Christmas. Jeff wears Nick's around the house and my dad decided that he needed his own. While we were there they fed the fish so that was really neat to see, plus nice to know they do it on the weekends. We were suppose to play Suquence after Jeff went to bed, but I couldn't even tell you what happened to that, I guess we all checked out early that night!

Sunday was a beautiful day...no wind, the perfect day to take Jeff outside. Nick spent most of the day in the basement watching who knows what on tv, so I took Jeff out and we hung out most of the day. We helped grandma and grandpa shovel the driveway, then decided that we would take a nice long walk. I think Jeff misses the everyday walks...Mom & I walked for 45 minutes and he didn't say a peep the entire time. He was dressed in so many layers and had so many blankets on him he couldn't even move, but I'm sure the people who were driving by were looking at me like I'm so crazy mother. The fresh air was awesome though.

I did not want to come into work today...something about it just keeps getting more and more difficult.

Precious Moments...

Jeff got new bedding on Sunday, Cars bedding to be exact and he's in love with it. I had asked my mom to bring the pnp stuff home from the lake so I'd have it when we were traveling down to Tiffin. Jeff found the mattress that we use for the pnp behind our door. Last night he dug it out, put it on the floor, went and got his pillow and blanket from his room and made a comfy bed on our floor. It was so cute...
So proud of himself!

It looks like he is sleeping, but he's just rolling over with a huge grin on his face!

Jeff's new place to hang out!

He's getting so big...he'll be 2 in 18 days...OMG!

Welcome Baby Lukas!!!

Nick and I have a new nephew this evening!!! Howard & Lauren had their baby around 6:30 this evening. I've only seen a picture of the phone, but I'm patiently waiting for the email to come in with more pictures in it. Congratulations to them and their new little bundle of joy! Welcome to the world Lukas William Stultz...I hope your life is a great one!

Weekend of Fun

I can't believe my weekend has come to an end. It was a great weekend too... 4 days off of work, lots of down time, lots of time at the hospital with Nick's dad, and lots of relaxing. It felt great to be home with Jeff, and I'm wishing I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow.

Honestly the days went by so fast... Friday Nick had to work, but his mom was here, so I took her up to the hospital in the morning and then visited for a bit with them. We took Nick lunch and then Jeff took a nice long nap, and mom did too, felt great! When Nick got home we went to Bob Evans and took Nick's parents dinner. It was nice to be up there with them, and Jeff enjoys walking around the hospital with Ruthann, god only knows the trouble the two of them get into! Ruthann ended up coming back and spending the night with us, but Nick went out with some friends so Ruthann and I spent a couple of hours playing Sequence, it was a nice time.

Saturday morning I got up early and headed to the store. Felt great to go by myself and get in and out without any whining from Jeff. I hurried and unloaded everything and then headed to take Ruthann to the hospital and then off to Nick's basketball game. Jeff enjoys the games...probably because he gets to sit and eat tons of sugar! Nick & I ended up taking Jeff to the zoo yesterday though. Going to St V's everyday we would pass the zoo and he would get so excited and ask to go. I finally told Nick we had to take him, so we went for about an hour and a half and it was so nice to be outside, but the look on Jeff's face was priceless. He was so excited that we were taking him to the zoo, his face just lite up with excitement! When we got home, he went down and I started cooking dinner and a soup for Nick's parents to take home with them. Nick went up to the hospital and I stayed home with Jeff, felt nice to be home.

Jeff slept until 9 this morning! I was shocked when I got of the shower and he was still asleep. It was nice just to be the 3 of us since Mom & Dad were at the lake for the weekend. We just relaxed and hung out together. We got a call though that Lauren's water broke this morning so that was exciting to know that we were going to have a new nephew at some point today. I packed up some soup and bread and we headed up to the hospital so we could say good-bye to Nick's parents. His dad finally got released today so that was a good thing, after 10 days of being in the hospital, I think he was more then ready. When we were done there we went to BRU and got Jeff some CARS bedding for his bed... (Jeff is in LOVE with the movie Cars and Nick wanted to get him some stuff today.) His room is adorable - stickers on the wall, and Cars bedding, he is so proud and wants to show everyone when they walk in the door. It's so much fun doing things to make him happy! When he took his nap this afternoon I went out for a 5 1/2 mile run and it felt great! I got the Ipod all calibrated so that was good too. It was nice when everyone got home, and we caught up...now I'm waiting on pictures of the new nephew, but I bet I'll be in bed before the pictures come through, oh well, something to look forward to tomorrow.

Happy 2009!!!

Well it's 2009 and holy cow I can't believe. We had a great time last night...dinner at Caraba's and then we went to see Marley & Me, cute movie, but take tissues because of course it's sad. Makes me want to get a puppy though, but then I look at Oliver and Olin and remember that we have 2 dogs and need no more!

We got home by 11:30 and stayed up to ring in the New Year...it was the perfect evening!

Hope everyone enjoyed their New Year's as well...now here's to an even better 2009!!!
