Little Water Bug!

Well alls I can say is that it has been HOT these past couple of days…grossly HOT!!! Last night Nick had a softball game so I took Jeff over to the Hoover’s so he could take a dip in the pool, HE LOVED EVERY SECOND. It was so much fun watching him enjoying himself. He goes under without a problem, we even got him to wear swimmies and he did pretty good keeping himself afloat. I’m looking forward to more pool time with him this summer, and maybe, just maybe I’ll remember to take my camera with me.

How does time get away from me like this?

2 Weeks...it's been 2 weeks since I've written on the blog...seriously I'm not that busy that I can't take a few minutes once or twice a week and put something up here...I feel guitly about it, especially since this is how I keep track of what Jeff is up too. Luckily I take enough pictures to jog my memory!!!

Alright, last week on Friday night we took Jeff to his FIRST Mud Hen's game!!! He loved it...we actually got to stay for the entire game, even for the fireworks. The fireworks made him nervous, but I wasn't really to surprised by that. Nick & I were both worried about how he would do, but it was a relief that he was so well behaved. I'm sure we'll be going to another game sometime soon.

Jeff & Daddy - our pregame meal at Frickers!

Jeff meeting Madonna...he was so excited!

We had great seats, right behind the Mud Hens dug out.

Saturday we made our way down to Tiffin for Nick's dad's retirement party. We had a good time, could of done without the crappy weather, but his dad was surprised and that was all that mattered. Jeff enjoyed Kourtney's ducks...he played with those things all day...poor things, they just wanted to rest, but Jeff had other ideas!

On Sunday we met the C family at the zoo. Nick was still in Tiffin so it was just Jeff & me. We had a good time walking around the zoo looking at all of the animals. Jeff is really at the perfect age because he enjoys it so much! The polar bears were playing while we were there and that was lots of fun to watch. The elephants were also getting baths...amazing at how well trained they are. When the keepers tell them to raise their ears, they spread um and let them wash behind them...very cute! Jeff took a nice nap Sunday afternoon...I did too, I won't lie! When we both woke up, we went to Bass Pro so Nick could use some of his birthday money to get a new pole. It's nice the weather is so great so we can spend so much time outside, it's the only place Jeff wants to be!

The week flew, between Nick having softball and projects around the house, before I knew it was Thursday night and I was packing for the lake again... I was looking forward to getting back up there though, since it had been a couple of weeks. Jeff got to go with mom & dad early on Friday...lucky thing, but Nick & I enjoyed a nice quiet carride ourselves. We were saying how it hasn't been this quiet in 3 years...amazing how much you miss the noise from the back seat. Jeff was happy to see us when we got there though!!! I was spoiled all weekend having Jaclyn & Neil at the lake, because they wanted to play with Jeff. The weekend was actually relaxing for me since I got to do a lot of sitting around...first time in a long time!!!

Saturday morning Steph & I decided to do a 5k race that was going on in LaGrange...Dr. O had come down Friday night and told us about it... it was so much fun! I was a little nervous because of my foot and considering I haven't run that far in a long time, but it was great. I finished the race in 29.30, not bad at all and I was extremely happy, and Steph finished at 42 someting...not bad considering they walked the whole thing!!!!! The rest of Saturday was spent sitting in the sun, drinking water, and talking with everyone who was up there. We had a great, relaxing day!

This morning I got up to go to church with my family while Jeff & Nick continued to sleep. It was nice to go by myself, nice to listen for a change. Today was another beautiful day at the lake, we spent the entire day outside in the sun & if you saw Nick & I you could tell. I'm burnt more so than him, but he's still kind of red. Grandpa, Charlene, Tim & Janet came up for the day, and it was nice to see them and see how they are doing. Grandpa is still getting around pretty good at his old age... Feels good to be home tonight though. I'm tired, waiting for the house to cool down... Looking forward to the week...back to the lake next weekend too!!!

Jeff went tubing for the first time with daddy today!!!

Jeff & Daddy caught a turtle too...Tuckie... Jeff was so excited!

Just so happy to be at the lake!

Family Picture...we need a new one!

Well, Well, Well...

It's back to another Monday...hard to believe... the weekend was just okay though. I feel like of depressed lately, not sure why, well I know why, but since I'm not sure who reads this or not, I cannot post it because I don't want it out there. Anyway, the weekend started off great, we went to Steph & John's house for a cookout with the Hoover's and it was lots of fun. We had a great time, cooking hot dogs, playing corn hole, sitting around talking around the fire, and Jeff enjoyed playing in the dirt and getting four wheeler rides.

Saturday was kind of a lazy day... we did some yard work outside, Jeff got tractor rides, I did laundry and got our rooms nice and clean, it just felt good. Nick left to go to Tiffin for the day, kind of sucked because that meant Jeff & I were by ourselves, but we had a great time together...birthday shopping for Nick, church, dinner, playing outside...he makes time so much more enjoyable. He wasn't good at church, but at least we went right???

Sunday was just another day...honestly nothing to good happened...I can't really remember right now to tell you the truth. Felt good to be home again though.

Jeff is just getting so big, he is sort of a pain to me, whines all the time, and seriously doesn't eat for me, but it's amazing how he just plays on his own, and rides the gator around the yard...he's talking so much more...words are coming out left and right, it's so exciting to listen to him talk. Right now he's saying papa, mom, daddy, hi, bye, mow, juice, doggie, me, home, more....just to name a few...so much fun having him getting bigger!!!

I'm uploading videos and pictures right now...they will be posted in a little bit!
