Our Bedtime Routine

It's really fun getting to put Jeff to bed at night, especially since he really loves reading and wants Nick & I both to put him to bed at night. Some nights, he wants us all to snuggle in with him, while I read his bedtime story. This week I decided to take advantage of this and get some cute pictures. It worked to my advantage because he ended up wanting to read to Nick, so I was happy that I got that on video too. I love these moments with him, it's amazing he's old enough to want to read to us!

Patio Project Begins

Our patio is finally getting started!!! I cannot wait to see how it turns out. Last night John & Nick started tearing up the backyard to get the area ready for the patio. The patio is going to be huge...20x20, but man is it going to be nice when it's done. Not sure when the concrete is going to get poured, hoping for Saturday, but there is a lot of work to do before that can happen.

Our Little Helper

Jeff is such a big help around our house, especially when it comes to helping Daddy mow the grass. Jeff follows him around the entire yard with his mower and pretends he's mowing too. Gotta Love It!!!

Our Little Stinker

We are having some huge discipline problems with Jeff lately. Our little darling just has a mind of his own and hates us telling him what to do, or even correcting him for what he's doing wrong. Well Saturday afternoon the melt down started at Andersons when I wouldn't get him a toy that he wanted and continued to the car and when we got home. I told him it was time for a nap, assuming he was just tired. We made our way into the house and I told him that he was not going to get his blankies to sleep because he needs to learn this is not the right way to act and he knows better. Of course he's screaming, holding his breath and kicking at this point so frustrated, but I've had enough, I shut the door and go outside to work with Nick in the yard. I went back in a little while later and the darling child is sleeping with his blankets!!! The little stinker got out of his room, and went to get his blankets that were in our room!

First House Project

We are getting ready to pour concrete for a nice patio out back, but while we are at it, figured it would be good to fix the front steps and get them level and not so white trash. Thanks to my fam for helping Sunday morning. John brought his tractor over and they got the steps to work so we don't have to replace them, which is huge!!!

I'm so excited for the patio to be poured. We are hoping to do it next Saturday, weather permitting, we'll see.

His Big Boy Bike

Since Jeff's birthday is in January we couldn't really get him a bike then because he wouldn't be able to enjoy riding it. Well a couple of weeks ago we asked him what color of bike he would like, and he was persuaded by Uncle John that he needed a green John Deere bike! That bike arrived on our porch and he was so excited to ride it...such a big little man!

He's doing great too. At first he wasn't sure of the whole peddle thing, but he's got it now!

Welcome Baby Jamison!!!

My best friend had her "surprise" baby this morning...an adorable little boy, Jamison Andrew. I went up and saw them at lunch today and he seriously is the cutest, tinest little thing. Congrats to the addition of your family!!!

Happy Easter

What a great weekend! Dad's family came in and we had a great time catching up all weekend long. Luckily the weather was terrific so the kids we able to be outside for a good portion of the weekend.

Jeff had such a great time playing with all of his cousins. It was great to see him running around trying to keep up with everyone!!!
